The Mansion
« on: November 26, 2009, 11:49:53 am »
you awake in a room. your sitting in a comfortable lounge chair. there is a fire-place around, and some books on a table.  one wall is made of glass, with a sliding door, and through it you can see outdoors, and trees. it is raining heavily, and it looks dark.  their is another door on the opposite wall

i'l make a map, if you ask. I plan on following this one through.

you find a small note-pad, but cant seem to find a pen. you try to go outside, but the door wont slide. though at closer look, it doesnt lead ouside, but to what apears to be a small yard with walls on all sides. they go up far; the building must be ten floors high, from where you are. though you can be shure your even on the first floor.

from what you can gether your in a lounge, and the yard is an atrium

You always say that.

Throw the note-pad at a window if nothing's written on it.

you look carefully at the note-book, and at top you find, handwritten in ink, one word.

Nathiew

it apears the first few pages were ripped sloppily from the top.

Interesting.  Anything else?  Check if there's anything peculiar with the books, check everywhere and if you see something burning the fireplace turn off the fire if it's gas or if it is real try to fan it out with a book.  Or drown it with a blanket or something.

the books on the table are all old, worn, literary copies. you leaf through them, but find nothing of interest.

the fire is gas; you shut it down. up the fire shute you here a strong wind, which is strange, as their is no sighn or sound of wind coming from outside.

(Hmmmmmmm)

Inspect the fire thoroughly.  Check if the door is unlocked, whether it is or is not unlocked, don't go outside the room.

you look up the fire shaft. you cant see the top; it must be high up.

you check the regular (not leading outside) door. the handle move; its not locked. in fact, it doesnt appear to have a lock

(FIY I need a proper name)

The Mansion seems fitting if only you capitalized it.

the mansion just seems like it's there.

Okay. . . since we can't go into the atrium, maybe we should head out?  Take the notepad, too.
