A&Ω - Yet another Hydro'd game -
« on: October 17, 2009, 05:05:06 am »
You are not A god, you are THE GOD. You are Alpha and Omega. You are all powerful and all exploitable.

One day (not really a day because you haven't created time yet) you decide that it might be a good idea to create the world and start by creating space.

What should you do next, oh mighty one?

First make a race or two.

After that, make a giant ball of Vulcan blood the size of the Milky Way and make that their residence.

Also, make a race of emotionally unsound unicorns which will act as your main circle of universal caretakers. Each one will reside on a small planetoid the size of Pluto, which are located in one of the 324,567,342,221 corners of space.

create atoms, as we have space but no matter yet
create huge balls of plasmatic elements serving as energy harbringers
create cold balls of matter surrounding balls of elements,
create law of gravitation
OK, both of you die and let us know what happens.

You create atoms and let them run free in space.

You create gravitation.

You create two races and place them in a huge ball of Vulcan blood. They drown almost instantly.

You give the newly created space 324,567,342,221 corners. In the corners #322,137,002,431 - #322,137,002,631 you create a small planet. This equals a total of 200 planets. On each of these planets you place an emotionally unsound unicorn:

And you saw that it was ugly, and figured you would become a more skilled creator as you got used to this whole creation business.

The 200 depressed unicorns cries continuously about their loneliness on their planets and for the fact that it is completely dark as light has not been created yet. They cried continuously for about 2 minutes that is, because that is about the time a unicorn can survive without oxygen.

You create the laws of evolution. The unicorns don't seem to want to evolve though.

You make plants, men, women, pinetrees, jungles and orchards in a random place in space. They all are attracted by the gravity of the huge ball of vulcan blood. They do not drown though, as they have allready suffocated in space.

You create 200 balls of plasmatic elements.

You create random cold balls orbiting the plasmatic balls.

That was the first day.

Laws of the world:

Gravitation

Evolution

The world consists of:

Atoms

324,567,342,221 cornered space

200 suns

Planets surrounding the suns

200 small planets of unspecified material

200 dead unicorns

A huge ball of copper-based blood containing very dead species of animals and plants

You must agree on things from now on. For an action to be done at least 2 posters must have agreed on it, more might be required depending on the quantity of posters that hasn't endorsed the action.

I disagree, create an atmosphere on the balls, put all trees, and animals created into the atmpospheric balls. Give the unicorns a wife, and rainbow coloured tails... create a unicorn subspecies of purple coloured two horned unicorns that are adept at creating mechanical devices for the unsound unicorns

All creatures in our world will run on nuclear fusion.
Seconded!

Also, somewhere far, far, far away from everything else, create seven sol-sized suns and make them orbit a central star that is far enough to not cause any harm to the future inhabitants of the orbiting stars' future star systems.

In each of the seven stars, create a planet that will orbit them in the Goldilocks Zone.

On each planet, add a habitable atmosphere, some oceans and some landmasses. Make it so that it is habitable.

Afterward, place both plant and animal life, along with an immortal and eternally emotionally unsound unicorn, on each of the planets and let evolution go it's course.

Place everything else into the giant ball of blood and add four billion immortal, eternally violent, teleportation-capable, planet-sized beavers into the mix. Make it so that they cannot leave.

We shall call the ball of blood "Seigana" and it will be our version of hell.

You watch your creation and frown. Nothing much happens. You say time, and then time is created. (Though through some paradox due to missing laws of whatever things that required time happened in the last update).

You decide that evolution should have a predilection for nuclear fusion as the primary energy production mechanic.

You create seven suns orbiting around one bigger sun. You give each star planets with an habitable atmosphere and large bodies of water. You don't get much further then that when the gravity of the suns disrupts the orbits of the planets making most of them end up crashing as huge comets into the suns.

You create a bunch of planets with breathable atmospheres in a random place in space. On these planets you place men, women and vegetation. The people die from the extreme cold and the plants die since they receive almost no light at all from the distant 8 sun solarsystem.

You become quite discouraged by all your failures and think you might want to think things through more, this whole creation thing wasn't as easy as you first thought.

That was the second day.

Laws of the world:

Gravitation

Evolution

Time

Animals tend to evolve nuclear fusion to produce energy for themselves

The world consists of:

Atoms

324,567,342,221 cornered space

200 suns

Planets surrounding the suns

200 small planets of unspecified material

200 dead unicorns

A huge ball of copper-based blood containing very dead species of animals and plants

7 suns orbiting one larger sun.

3 planets with breathable atmospheres floating around randomly in space.

Create a supremely intelligent, nigh-omnipotent being of energy to make a lifebearing planet for you. Give him general guidelines. (nuclear, etc)

Also put this planet in glass. Make sure the energy being's will can be overridden by you at any time, so that he won't rebel. Make the life forms worship you as the creator of the creator.

hell to the yes!

Generate a planet with a breathable atmosphere around one of the suns, at a distance of approx. one lightyear.  Put a spin of momentum on it that will keep it in a constant orbit around it's sun.  Fill this planet with many forms of vegetation.

You feel as if the creation of the world is something you would need some help with, so you create a mate for you that is supremely intelligent but not as omnipotent as you. This mate is, just like you, not manifested so both of you exist beyond time and space in a loving embrace. You make this being understand that its task is to create a habitable planet. And you saw that this was awesome.

Your mate approaches one of the suns and create a planet in the Goldilocks zone. When it is closing in to the ground and starts to create the atmosphere you put a sphere of glass around the planet, trapping your mate inside. The glass is about 100 m thick so that it won't burst due to gravity or when meteors hit it. The mate realise this but is created to obey and instead lighten the atmosphere a bit as the glass sphere decrease the amount of heat that escapes from the planet. The mate doesn't get further than this today, as it is not omnipotent.

You turn all planets into gold. This causes some disturbance due to the much higher mass of them and many of the random planets crash into suns or get thrown out of orbit. The planet created by your mate is spared however as your mate is quick to react and shrinks the planet so that its total density is the same as before.

You decide to make another adjustment to the law of evolution: it will now favour silver based life.

That was the third day.

Laws of the world:

Gravitation

Evolution
Animals tend to evolve nuclear fusion to produce energy for themselves
Silver based life is preferred

Time

All planets are made of gold

The world consists of:

Atoms

324,567,342,221 cornered space

200 suns

Planets surrounding the suns

20 small planets of unspecified material

200 dead unicorns

A huge ball of copper-based blood containing very dead species of animals and plants

7 suns orbiting one larger sun.

1 planets with breathable atmospheres floating around randomly in space.

Your mate.

An inhabitable planet surrounded by a sphere of glass with an atmosphere. Orbiting a star.

Wait, wait, wait. Why are we doing all of this stuff conventionally? Spherical planets? Screw that!

Make 2 zones of the universe. One has gravity, one doesn't. In the gravity zone, keep planets normal, maybe make a ringworld or dyson sphere or something. Keep all the already existing stuff here.

In the nongravity zone, make the planets flat, though the sun orbits around them. Enact the Flat Earth Society's physical model.

In the barrier between zones, place a giant slab of marshmallow.

Seconded.

Make a giant turtle floating in space that can live without any form of oxygen or nourishment.  Begin cultivating life on its shell.

Yea AToC mainly died because Slarti disappeared unheard of and Josasa left. I was also getting tired of all thethings needed to be taken in a account every time I was making an update.

This is mainly for fun and not very serious.

Your mate finish the atmosphere and terraform the land of the small golden planet enclosed by glass. It makes it so that the living conditions are as good as possible. You create a cell based on silver chlorate and silver carbonate that you place on this planet, waiting for it to evolve.

You decide that all sea creatures should be based on platinum, and so be it.

You part your universe in two zones, in one you keep all the things you have allready created, in the other you disable gravity. You separate these zones from eachother with a huge wall of massive marshmallow. And you saw that it was good. In this new zone you decide that all the planets are flat and that all the suns orbit around the flat planets, you also create a random amount of these planets and suns.

You create a giant turtle floating around randomly in space.

It seems quite depressed.

Your partner share with you the following thought "I am done with my work for now master, will you let me out of here?"

That was the 4th day.

No gravity Zone

Laws of the world:

All planets are flat and all suns rotate around the planets.

The world consists of:

20 flat planets orbited by 20 suns.

Giant wall of marshmallow

Gravity Zone

Laws of the world:

Gravitation

Evolution
Animals tend to evolve nuclear fusion to produce energy for themselves
Silver based life is preferred

Time

All planets are made of gold

Sea-life is based on platinum.

The world consists of:

Atoms

324,567,342,221 cornered space

200 suns

Planets surrounding the suns

20 small planets of unspecified material

200 dead unicorns

A huge ball of copper-based blood containing very dead species of animals and plants

7 suns orbiting one larger sun.

1 planets with breathable atmospheres floating around randomly in space.

Your mate.

An inhabitable planet surrounded by a sphere of glass with an atmosphere. Orbiting a star.

A cell made from silver.

A giant turtle.

Giant wall of marshmallow.

yes! Also on the flat planets, stuff stays down due to constant acceleration, not due to gravity. So,  yeah, just saying.

Sorta. Essentially there's a disc that is constantly accelerating. Going in circles is accelerating, due to direction change equating to a velocity change.

Anyway, I support Plank's idea. The turtle should be granted such wisdom, and an impenetrable shell! Shrink it and send it to the planet it made.

Soon we will have to fast forward in time to when there are civilizations. Preferably competing ones.

Ooo! We should make the turtle like, some sorta legendary figure.

It can talk, and have limited levitation. (self or one object no more than half a ton.) Uhh...make its shell impenetrable save for the glass surrounding the planet. Tell it that its shell is invincible.

This IS a GIANT turtle and I mean PLANET SIZED giant turtle.  It's floating in space, so levitation won't matter.  Also, if it can talk to the creators, I'd say it's pretty friggin legendary.  As for having it talk, that seems useless.  It would kill the hearing of any of the life we cultivate on its shell and we can read the thing's mind anyways.  It can send us messages with its mind.

You merge the soul of your mate with the turtle and change its thinking capacity. You also create conditions for life on its back.

You decide that the flat planets have a special kind of pull on objects due to their constant acceleration.

The first creatures have started to appear on the glass sphere enclosed planet!

1. Many organisms work like this one. It grows on the bottom of the ocean absorbing silver ions that they use produce energy. Plantlike.

2. This is a specimen from a family of organisms that use nuclear fission to produce energy. They swim around and suck in hydrochloric acid which they split into ions before removing the chlorine ions. (The inside of this specimen is covered in a layer of gold to protect against the strong acid.) The hydrogen is then fused to helium, a process that creates a lot of energy. The helium is kept inside the body of the organism for a while to prevent it from sinking, so constant eating is necessary for most organisms of this type. It reproduces by segmenting its legs.

You observe these great species and awe at the power of your law "evolution".

That was the 5th day.

You could do anything you wanted on paper. Most wouldn't bother, as it is only on paper and you might as well write it up yourself or maybe even just fantasise about it. Some though think that the written responses given by someone else is enough to make this sandbox more appealing as when things don't go exactly as planned it is easier to imagine and feels more real. There is also the group aspect of purposing an idea and convincing others, the feeling of coming with a good idea is addicting. These three, apathy to what is only imagined, the urge to feel immersion and the immersion itself and the group mentality.

I did this to test the forum spirit. Reread the thread and try to come to your own conclusion.

Relax, it's a joke.

And Crazen, your definition of a Hydro is wrong;

hy-dro
  /hahy-droh/

–verb (used with person), pull a-, get- -ed.
1.    to discontinue.
2.    to terminate something prematurely.
3.    to constantly start new projects without finishing them.

Example:

"Oh man! Hydro canceled yet another caveman game, he really pulled a hydro."

"When Veraal starts a game you can expect it to be hydroed..."
