The wind slowly danced though the trees as the sun continued its graceful parade across the sky, while Alimorel felt herself longing for the days in the village where it took weeks for anything to happen and even then it was well planned. In the span of a day an half she had lost everything and one she had ever loved, killed more people then she knew and almost lost her mind to rain. Now she had seen a dragon and met a girl who might have similar powers to her own.
She was tired, and sick of being a quite helpless child. She had great powers and now she would take charge of her life, no longer letting it sweep her along with the tides.
"I don't know about them but I want to stop Kyro now, before any more innocent people die. You said you were fighting the tyrant" Alimorel directed this statement to Juma. "Point me in his direction and Ill be off."

Omann and Kyro watched as the bridge was erected. The General, in awe and horror, ordered the second wave of Crimson Crusaders to march on Genei. The King led them, his white firey glow easily seen at the front lines. The bridge managed to hold the weight of the crusaders, and the second murderous march on Genei began again. Manipulators watched in horror as the red wave came at them even though they were sure they were safe. Kyro smiled, "This city will be ours before the moon is high..."

"Damn," Sabar mumbled under his breath as he picked himself up from the floor. He was still in his wolf form, loosely cloaked in the dark black robes of the Penumbra. "Where did you go?" he asked himself as he closed his eyes and concentrated on the areas around him. It took him several seconds, but the Stone King had left a trail, a scent, that showed his path through the stone. A toothy smile crept across Sabar's face.
With that, Sabar stretched out his arms and prepared himself. He had been practicing new techniques and was ready to put them to the test. It was difficult finding and in though. There were few openings in the area the Stone King had gone to. Several small portals flickered here and there, but nothing Sabar could get through. It wasn't long before he made his choice.
In a flash, Sabar appeared from the shadow of an unknowing aide blocking one of the candles. It was a silent entry, one which didn't draw any attention. But he made himself known when he again approached the Stone King, leaping across the room at his target.
"It's not that easy!" Sabar kicked aside the prince and wrestled a grip on the Stone King. All at once everything went dark. When one of the aides managed to relight a candle, both Sabar and the Stone King were gone.

The Stone King turned at the last moment and glared at the assassin. It was a shock to see the beast in the most secure part of the fortress and it was a shock that proved to be too much for the aging King. He died right then and there before being whisked away into the darkness. A mighty shock ran through the earth as the Stone King's grip on the land was broken and nature's processes returned to their rightful throne. Panicking, the prince raced off into the crumbling stone wall and tried to get away as fast as he could. The earth twisted and shattered around the young prince and all but overwhelmed him; still, he refused to fail and clutched his father's heirloom tightly. Up above, the small mountain that supported the Stone King's fortress began to crumble and the whole thing fell back to earth. Kyro's bridge vanished beneath his feet and the Crusade had only a few moments to learn how to fly. The mighty walls that protected the fortress buckled and cracked and exploded outwards. With a groan, the Stone King's keep collapsed in on itself and tons and tons of heavy rock began raining down from the sky. And then the cloud of dust came, enveloping everything in sight.
A single, deafening bang that could be heard for miles around signaled that the fortress' descent had ended and a rush of air blew everyone off of their feet. Silence followed.

From underneath a pile of rock and earth a blood covered hand emerged as Ergo struggled to break from the fallen mountain. As he clawed his way free he witnessed massive devastation all around, much of the crusade seemed to be buried while others were covered in dust scrambling to their feet. He saw no sign of the general nor the king.
Ergos soul sculpted bridge laid in ruin completely destroyed, he raised his hands to regather the souls from his master piece but the dark coloring turned white and streams of white mist ascended towards the sky, It seemed that once his creations were destroyed the souls contained with in them were set free. Yet again he was back to square one, as powerless as he was upon his rebirth.
Ergo roared in anger failing to notice the blood pouring down his arm, By the time he had payed his injury heed it already was too late, he felt faint and dizzy, he stumbled and tried his best to stay focused but in the end he succumbed to his injury falling unconscious and collapsing to the ground.
The ground on which he fell was loose and weak, it gave way and plummeted in to the fissure created by the eastern king during the battle.

Omann watched in horror as the tremor rocked the mountain, the bridge disappearing piece by piece allowing soldiers to plumet to their fates. He then ordered the remaining troops to raise their shields, and a great crimson wall of armor safeguarded the General and the soldiers that remained on the ground from the debris that rained from the mountain top.
The king looked, his goal was just in reach, however, he soon found that his feet no longer touched something physical. Kyro fell like a star falling to earth, a trail of fire following behind as his body glowed white hot. The radiating light was so intense that it blinded all who gazed upon it directly, it was so hot that it melted the stone to lava, and turned to soldiers unfortunate enough to be close to the king at the time to ash. The king plummeted, yet as he approached the ground the heat coming from his body was so intense it turned to lava as he fell. Once he made contact with the ground, he disappeared under a pool of fresh magma, going who knows how deep into the earth. When the dust cleared, all that remained of the kings impact site was a lake of steaming lava, its depths unknown. The king, lost beneath.

"I think it would be best if we all stuck together. The more of us working together against Kyro, the better chance we have to beat him. I've fought Kyro once... he easily could've killed me. With all of us together, I think we have a good chance." Juma paused when the sound of the large city collapsing on itself was heard in the distance. "As for his location, I think you just got your answer." Juma walked over to Taisie and picked her up, continuing to talk the whole time. "Everyone, prepare to head towards Kyro. Get anything together you might need and meet outside of the forest. There, we can set off as a group."
Juma dismissed the group and took Taisie over to Zorak. He positioned Taisie on the dragons back comfortably again before throwing himself over. "Alright Zorak, we're heading back to Kyro. Make sure you keep Taisie out of harms way... I don't want her getting hurt again." The dragon snorted in agreement and took off out of the woods. Once the group came out of the trees, Zorak began to fully glimmer once more.

The sudden, loud rumbling was rather disconcerting. Looking in the direction the sound came from, Didrick saw something that looked like a cloud of dust in the distance. "Yeah, victory lies in teamwork", Didrick mumbled, mostly to himself. Turning towards the newcomer, he said: "Let's get out of this forest then!", and, after checking his horse's saddlebags, started leading his horse back in the direction they came from. Didrick assumed Theodoric and Alimorel would follow him, and continued: "My name is Didrick, by the way. Didrick Rivercastle. Pleasure to meet you."

Ergos eyes opened slowly, his vision was blurry but he saw what appeared to be the ceiling of a cave with a few torches giving off light, he was laying on his back in a great deal of pain, his arm was bandaged and his leg had a splint, he could feel a another bandage somewhere on his head as well.
Ergo groaned in pain as he tried to move.
"Now now stay put dearest, you are in no condition to get of bed" the voice came from an elderly women with a hunched back, she was in ragged attire and her face was full of boils, her hair was long gray and thinning yet she had a genuine smile as she spoke to Ergo.
"Wench! what happened to me, i remember my head spinning..then..nothing..did i faint?" Ergo said
The Elderly women smiled and replied. "You did much more then that my dear...you fell down the cliff, i have waited for you here for the past few days"
Ergo had no idea how he would survive such a fall, but his normal hate for everyone had waned on this women, perhaps it was because she saved his life, Ergo couldn't explain this himself.
" You have been waiting for me..how..how do you know me and how did you know i would be here?" Ergo responded.
"I know a great many things about you Ergo Santik" She said with a wide smile, "Regrettably you would not be alive had i not foreseen your fate...it would be a pity to see your life cut so short a second time" She said softly.
"Your a witch? a seer? a prophet?" Ergo responded with haste.
"I am simply Matilda, nothing more" she said with a slight courtesy.
Ergo felt a set of strange emotions being around this women, but he was still anxious to return to the surface
"I thank you for what you have done for me..but where is my sword ..i must leave" Ergo said as a puff of black smoke exited his nostrils.
"You wont get far with that leg I'm afraid.....whats the rush? Kyros reign will not be infinite..you need not worry about that" She said as she sat at Ergos bedside.
"What do you mean Matilda" Ergos interest had been peaked.
"Your part in this crusade has met its conclusion..but it is not clear to me what role you will be play in the future, you are quite the interesting specimen Ergo Santik..your future is shrouded in mystery yet i feel you will come to be something great as time passes..i had to give you that chance..i will nurse your wounds and fill your stomach..in the mean time just stay put and rest assured that your mark in history has yet to take place."
She handed Ergo a goblet of dark murky water.
"Drink this and sleep, leave your worry's behind ..your ambitions will bear fruit when you awake..this i promise you."
Ergo trusted the elderly women in a way he had never trusted anybody, he drank the water and fell in to a deep sleep.

The prince emerged from the ground some distance away from his father's fortress and gasped for air. His body was battered and broken as he had been unable to overcome the immense forces of nature. Rolling onto his back he stared up at the sky and coughed a bit. He couldn't move his legs anymore and one of his arms was twisted around in a sickening fashion. Up above, he saw a dark shape pass by, followed by a crippling wind that left him feeling cold and hopeless. He lay there and fell to a deep, dark place. Like a man possessed, the prince looked around frantically for a way to kill himself but soon came to the realization that he would have to lay there until death finally came for him. With a loud sob, the prince cursed his fate.
As the dark shape disappeared over the horizon, the heirloom in the prince's good hand began to heat up. It filled the young man with a warmth that seemed to snap him out of his stupor. Very quickly though, the warmth became a painful burning sensation and the prince dropped the heirloom onto his chest. The small tube-like artifact rested pleasantly on the prince's chest and as his breathing slowed the heat coming off of the strange trinket began to dissipate. Propping his head up as best he could, the prince looked over the artifact and felt a jolt of terror run through him. His father's heirloom had broken somehow along the way. Half of it was missing. Groaning, the prince laid his head back onto the hard ground and stared up at the sky, waiting for anything to happen.

Didrick, it is an honor to meet you." Theodoric said with a bow. "Now let us ride out to the field of battle! Boors, you lazy oaf, make yourself useful!"
The falcon glowed white and turned into a brown horse with a black mane. Theodoric hopped on and turned Boors to face Alimorel. "Do you intend to join us, M'lady? Boors can easily carry the two of us, but please only come if you are capable of fighting evil forces."

The General began the great search and rescue mission. He sent soldiers down into he ruins to save all they could and kill all who could not be saved yet still lived. He remembered feeling behind the shield wall a wave of heat come over them, it gave him hope that the king had indeed survived the fall. A soldier then ran up to Omann, "Mi'lord! There is something we must show you!" The General quickly followed the knight, looking around as soldiers moved boulders looking for surviving men. Omann was led an impact site, but it was no ordinary crash zone. The rocks around them we're black, moldable, and hot. The ground itself looked as if it had not ten minutes ago been melted stone. "What is the meaning of this..." The General gazed upon the black ground, and noted that it seemed to span off in a path, as if the king continued to walk beneath the earth after he landed. Omann began to follow the path of soft rock, "What has he done...?" ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________
The ground a few meters in front of the prince began to turn red. As time went on the red became more and more intense until the very ground turned to lava. Then, from the lava a golden ax emerged, and then another arm came after. They grabbed onto the edge of the lava pool and pulled a figure out. The king had risen. His armor, as crimson as the lava, looked to be severely melted. However, it was not melted in the sense that it liquefied and dripped off his body. It was melted in the sense that the armor seemed grafted on his very skin, even the space cut from his sisters blade had seared into his body. The king stood, his eyes completely white, "You! What have you done to me?!" As the king reached for his ax, the prince could see that the space between his gauntlet and armor was gone, and that all that remained was a crimson coating. The king then brought his ax down towards the prince. "You shall die for this!"

The axe cut through the prince with ease, killing him quickly and painlessly. His hands fell to his chest and a long breath escaped from his throat.

Out of the dark sky a lone figure fell. Only those not occupied with a task could have noticed it as it fell from the sky. It was a large figure draped in decadent robes and outlandish jewelry. It hit the ground with an unnatural thud, sending slight tremors through the earth. The Stone King had died. There was very little the Eastern Kingdoms could do.

Hatsuharu picked his way through the city. He was lucky to have survived the city crashing down. He had known what it meant, the King had died. And, like way back in Maridi, the plants grew around him meanacingly, growing without rhyme or rhythm. He climbed onto where the palace used to be, and looked down into the ruins. A small glint caught his eye, and climbed down into the ruins. It was a small broken object. Thinking it might be important, he picked it up and placed it in a container on his belt. Since the King was dead, there wasn't much left to do here. He made a ladder out of some bits of greenery that had fallen in here from the garden, and climbed back out. He then headed back out of the city, towards the forest.
The trek was long, but he had reason to head towards the forest. His powers would be stronger, he would be more at ease so he could think, and thinking was important. The Crimson Crusade somehow managed to assassinate the King. He did not know of any heir, but it was possible. As he came to the forest's edge, he saw a group of people. He came up to them.
"Huff... Hello there. I am Hatsuharu. And I need to exact vengeance on Kryo for murdering the King of these lands. But, I cannot do it alone."
