I agree with the other guys, pretty nice color style you got there.

I reckon the Therais are the sentient ones? :)

nope. they all are intelligent to a point. though Therais are the smartest

heres their functions:
the Intherachus functions as a soldiers and grunts for their civilization, while the Therais work as support they hold back from direct combat, preferring to fight with ranged attacks and/or hit and run strikes.

a single Hiraak(thats about all they can support, plus anymore and they would fight eachother) functions as a guardian for the colony.

A colony of semi-sentient tool-using creatures of varying species?

Nice... 8)

Got any more info 'bout 'em? :)

actualy, I have made two adventures that feature them:

part one (you have to have a strong captain to beat this. in other words, have claws)

part two (just make shure you can jump, and you'l be fine)

I dont expect anyone to bother

Nirras

the tenacious and brutal Nirras is a mighty asset to a colony. they mainly support the therais, as the intherachus are already superb in close ranged combat, but can be beneficial to either. they provide more of a shield than a blade or an arrow

What other species are in the colony?

thats about it for both the hiraak and the machy, though I do have the machy-na, which is a tiny media machy

technology
the hiraak construct wood-like forts and towers, used to defend themselves against the aggressive machy.

though their buildings seem primitive, their weapons are relativaly  advanced. the therais use a specialized 'magma flinger' that shoots small chunks of heated scrap-metal, like a long range, flaming shotgun. most of the species of the hiraak colony are resistance to fire, but not so for the machy clans

serves 'em right for not tempering their wood!  8)

Any chance the Hiraak use a melee version of that super-heated projectile?
