My very own website for Warrior Cats lovers!
« on: July 06, 2009, 09:30:19 pm »
Hey every one! I recently made a new website called Natureclan-the lost clan. It is a Warrior Cats(If you don't know what that is, you should leave now unless you just want to see my work) role play site based on one of my warriors fantasies. It is made with a website called Wetpaint. It's really nice and it revolves around, you guessed it, CATS!!! Please tell me what you think of it and if you like it, join and message me who you are. If you're one of my friends, you'll become a mod. Thank you! CONSTRUCTIVE CRITIQUE ONLY, NO "I DON"T LIKE CATS" PLEASE!!!

I don't know if it applies to your site though.

Yeah, she's been working on the site for over a week. Don't worry, its just one of those "make your own forum" businesses from what she's told me.

Well, I have a feeling that not many people here know what that is, so a short explanation might be nice.

Okay, about the advertising,
1. This is not advertising for Warrior Cats, it is just based on the books.
2. This is not advertising for Erin Hunter, it is just based on her books.
3. This is not advertising for Wetpaint, I just posted their name up so you could make your own.
NO ADVERTISING AT ALL. NOT FOR MONEY OR ANYTHING.

No worship of what ever the heck that is, only respect to their ancestors who live in Starclan.

Warrior Cats is basically a book series about feral cats that live in the forest. Their life has a tribal sense to it. They live in clans and they have ranks, such as apprentice and leaders. Most cats are warriors or apprentices. The books are about prophecies sent by the cats of Starclan, basically, heaven for wild cats. The prophecies usually are confusing, like "Listen to what midnight has to say" and they single out cats and they have to fulfill it. The original books were about an especially red orange tabby pet cat, or kittypet as called by the warriors, named Rusty, dreaming about the forest and then joining the forest cats only to find out there was a prophecy stating "Only fire can save the clans" He ends up becoming leader and saving the clans. Cats in the clans do not have simple names like "Cherry" or "Puffy", their names are given to them by Starclan and have a tribal feel to them. Their names are usually a part of nature and then a part of a cat, like "Featherpaw" or "Rainwhisker". Different ranks have different names.

Kits are "kit name+kit" like "Windkit"
Apprentices are "Kit name+paw" like "Windpaw" Same with medicine cat apprentices
Warriors are "Kit name+second name" like "Windpool". Same with medicine cats. Deputies keep their warrior name.
Leaders are "Kit name+star" like "Windstar"

You sorta have to read the books to get it. If you want more, PM me and I can give you the name of some of the books, there relatively thick, at least a couple inches, or the website.

My site is free, no money associated with it at all.

??? WT? I don't get it... any way, please don't stain my thread with your dirty, dirty, DIRTY pictures. I don't want people getting the wrong idea. That picture would make a pile of puke sick. :P Now, people, just take a quick look at my site and give me some suggestions on how to improve it. AND NO MORE GRIMY PICS!!!!

Alright. Don't use capslock so much, it's a bit distracting. Also don't use so many different colors for the text, it looks a bit unprofessional to me. And so do the many changes in the text size. Just keep things simple. Choose a format and stick with it.

If the format distracts you from actually reading the text, then it's bad. The different colors, for example, attract your attention to them, and you will spend the whole time looking at the colors instead of the text. Similarly the bigger text attracts your attention to... well, the bigger text. So at a glance, you will read the bigger text and skip the smaller text. Now, this is fine when we're talking about headings, because those give you important information on whether or not the text is worth reading to you. But otherwise it's merely distracting.

Also, I'm personally not very fond of the green text. But maybe that's just me.
