LETS NOT MUTATE FURTHER BECAUSE THAT SEEMS LIKE A BAD IDEA

(you cant just decide to stop mutating)

because your ordeal must have been traumatizing (your whole team getting wiped out) the crew makes you a nice warm meal (chicken soup).

another group is sent out. a few hours later, they come back ,and got a good haul of supplies, including some weapons. one of them recovered your rifle. its dark out now.

status
general sanity: 95%
physical transformation: 6% (your skin has a slight brown, yellow apearence. you can any sense beasts and afflicted around you)
Location: safehouse; 17 people
inventory: .22 rifle, as much ammo as you would need

Suggest a rousing campfire sing-along to raise spirits, and then kill them all in their sleep, except for the other one who is infected.

after everyone falls asleep, you stay awake. the influence on your mind is too great. you lash out and attack another survivor. however, this alerts the night watch, and they rush in. one crack you across the face with the butt of their rifle, and the other shoots you in the chest.

later you wake up; they had thrown you into the street to die, but the beasts had found you, and took you to their den. you are surrounded by them, but they arent hostile. you look down: you are far into your transformation

status
location: beast den (town hall) 28 beasts, 1 afflicted(you)
general sanity: 65%
physical transformation: 24% (your skeletal system is shifting changing, your jaw elongating. your skin is hardening, and your thumbs are just starting to shift in line with your other fingers, your eyes have a sensitivity to light, and you have strong night vision)
inventory: nothing

search for a hospital to find medication, which can be used to numb away BAD thoughts
OK, both of you die and let us know what happens.

(what? no hospitals are open around here, cause everybody is dead, hiding, or one of the beasts. and there is no cure for the affliction anyway)
