It could cause some sort of reaction upon detonation that causes a large amount of light?
But still, thats really stupid cause you can simply use lasers and the light might hit you too.

And I too hate technobabble. Star trek gives me a headache.

Technobabble is awesome.

Especially star trek.

The anti-matter containment pods need to be ejected or we're gonna have a matter anti-matter explosion!

Awesome!

I had researched Ion Weaponry beforehand.
Ions are electrolized atoms/molecules. If the Emancipator doesn't already have it, the Sneals could add some.
You can probably find me, if you have pesterchum, under burningOrigins or cantankerousZealot.

That's not technobabble. If the "antimatter containment pods" were breaking down and going to release their antimatter, it would annihilate vast quantities of matter on the ship. But where they got it from, I really don't know.

I was also wondering about the proton missiles in Spore and proton torpedoes in Star Wars. Apparently protons are subatomic particles with an electric charge. So how does that make them explode violently?

There, I fixed the spelling for you. And yes, ion weaponry would be nice. In Star Wars ion weaponry is harmful to robots and machinery, but I'm not sure if that would really work. EMP pulses would be better, I think.

I think it might.Ions have an electric charge. If a concentrated blast hit a machine, it would act like an EMP, overloading it.In theory. :-\

The Emancipator already has Ion weaponry.

Yes, yes it is. Now on a more serious note, The quasits are protected from all of your plasma weaponry thanks to ANTI-PLASMA.

I hope you guys release just how powerful anti-matter is. It's world-devestating. As in a teaspoon would level a city the size of New York City.

It's also the most expensive substance in existence, with an estimated cost of $62.5 trillion per gram.

...I think the Photos should fire tiny antimatter-containing bullets rather than a beam of antimatter, you know?

Or, you know, not godmod.

Let's vote to see if anti-matter is godmodding or not.

It's not.
And if a company operates everything needed to produce the antimatter, then the cost is zero.
