But wouldn't they warm up?  And besides, Nauceanica is very warm.
:o Whoa... that was deep.

A river tribe shaman did it!

Best explanation so far.

The Nauceans have time travel, so what if they went back in time and seeded their own planet with life?

Paradox?

You'll never know why.

Well in a two dimensional plane, a circle looks like a straight line.

You're opperating under the assumption that there is no depth perseption.  You would still be able to discern the curve, just as we in the 3rd dimension can tell the difference between a cylinder and a prism, even if only seeing one face.

But what if time was like a loop? For an object on the surface (naucean a), time would appear to go in a straight line, but to an ouside observer (naucean b) it would be looped. That way, the naucean would seed his own planet with life and watch the nauceans be created in the next iteration. This loop could have been going on for a long time, in fact the nauceans could have even created the big bang. And at the end, all nauceans ascend, causing the next loop, and them nauceans ascend in an endless cycle. Like a mobius strip.

The only way I could really see a BttF phenomena happening is if the Nauceans originally came from another universe and merely went to our existence to seed it with their kind, similar in principle to what DG's character, Grievi did.

Not necessarily.  It'd be very straight forward for them to have just traveled back in time and seed life on Nauceana, even by accident.  Imagine if you will, a Naucean time traveller wants to go see primordial Nauceana.  He does so, but when landing, microbes that had attached to the outside of the ship when he left are deposited on the then barren and lifeless terrain.  This act effectilvey seeds life on the planet.

But the seeded life takes over the native life, splittting the timeline in two.

A five dimensional void is created, which treats bthe timelines as mere hypothesis.

The timelines cease to exist properly, and everything is screwed.

So, to avoid a logic paradox, the nauceans must not have seeded their planet with life.

Until they ascended, which complicated a lot.

What the heck are you talking about?  Did you even read my post?  The microbes seeded from the time machine would be the first life on the planet.  The planet is lifeless before then.

But how did the Nauceanican microbes exist before the first time-jump? Or was that specific instance of time-traveling bound to the very matrix of spacetime since the universe's first moments, and therefore inevitable? At least until foreign, extra-universal intervention arrived?  :-\

Other-worlders would probably see the universe's timeline as one continuous fabric, I guess. At least until they actually enter it and subject themselves to its temporal laws.

It is an infinite loop.  A sort of chicken and the egg paradox.  There is life because they timetravelled, and they could timetravel because there was life.
