I don't think it grew back, but instead new sheep would spawn. Since animals are now persistent, that doesn't happen anymore.
I could swear that the sheep I had in my enclosure grew back their wool after 3 or 4 days.
Like I said, the game probably forgot the sheep when you moved far enough away, and spawned new ones when you returned. But the de- and respawning doesn't happen anymore in the latest version.

Sheep haven't regrown wool since the Survival Test.

Are you sure? I had penned sheep that I thought I was shearing regularly.

Kind of eerie that I got a password reset request notification out of nowhere..

So Notch has stepped back from Minecraft and Jens is the lead developer now. I don't think it means much because Jens was doing most of the work on it anyway, he now has the title. Notch will work on other projects after he takes a break.

I think this is good news. Jens seems to be a little more motivated these days, so it's good that he's been given full control. He's already fixed a bunch of bugs and re-added wool regrowth, apparently.
No way dude, you're trolling me.

Hopefully he'll stick to working on Scrolls so Jens can get to uplifting Minecraft with minimal interference.

The Boy and I just 'finished' the game on the server. We killed the dragon. The best ending Notch could come up with was a wall of text? Nothing else? The disappointment in the Boy's face speaks volumes or how poor the ending was.

Did he ever take breaks from taking breaks?

"Almost started working... decided to not"

And that tired him out so much he had to take a break.

It's just as well, though, since when they do add things to Minecraft they're things I hate instead of THE ABILITY TO PUT REDSTONE ON WALLS WHAT THE HELL IT'S ALMOST 2012 I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO MOD THAT
Not a winner anymore.

Indeed. It goes back to my gripe that they keep piling new things on without fixing fundamental flaws.

Why would you be able to put it on walls?

It's dust. It would fall off.

And it isn't washed away by rain if I put it on the ground?

Edit: Not to mention, you CAN put it on walls, just in a roundabout way by putting it on top of a block and on an adjacent block below it. :V

Oh.

Well I don't use redstone so I guess I probably shouldn't argue about this.
