I was thinking of using one of those property mods so we can't mess with another person's stuff.

And in exchange for taking that freedom from you guys, I'd give you all the ability to spawn items.

I think spawning items is a terrible idea.

Property mod would work, though.

Spawning items would be cool if it wasn't abused. I mean we're out to BUILD sweet things, time spent mining and whatnot takes away from that.
If it wasn't entirely comfortable to reconcile, a potential middle ground could be that a chest is occasionally filled full of stuff by an admin, as a sort of "See what you can do with this" challenge. I still like the idea of two teams building competing towns though. We don't really have the population to pull it off to a really great degree I think, but it could still work.

I LOVE this idea.

It doesn't matter what the other team makes.

We will make cannons.

I really like this idea, but I am confused on how the towns would compete. Would it be something like "which has the best style?", "which has the best original defense?", "which one can I survive the longest in?", or am I thinking to narrowly here?

You'll never know why.

I don't see the need for a property mod. I can't remember a single case of vandalism on the Faffington server.

Testing out a server now.

69.253.163.149

**EDIT**
Well, it's not working. I've got everything configured to spec, but nobody can connect to me anymore. Not sure what the problem is, guess I'm not hosting a server.

It's might be your firewall. That was my issue and I had to tweak it. I knew that was it by turning it off and people could connect.

Who are you again and why in the world would you expect anything resembling rationality or civility in youtube comments?

Excellent idea fencing off the spawn area. ::)

I spawned in the water. Apparently away from a boardwalk with signs all over it with rules I believe.

Oh well, couldn't be bothered to stick around.
