I'm gonna re-pretty the desert once the pyramid is finished. I'll have to find sand from somewhere else and pray I can skip enough night times that I don't have to keep logging out for to get it done, but the desert isn't staying as a horrible rock cluster.

Alrighty.

Well, if you need anything for the pyramid, check the chest in my house. There should be a lot of sand/sandstone in there.

So the mushroom farm in Faffington got a little out of hand...

Not to worry, Flisch and I fixed it.

Starting to dabble in mods. So far i'm able to put in new blocks, items and tools, though i'm having issues getting their names to show up ingame.

Wtf.
There is, of course, a difference between having a laugh with someone, and having a laugh at their expense

The server will be down tomorrow. Hopefully back up Sunday night or Monday. You have about 12 hours to do what you need to do.

Here is the newest map.

Things to note. The map size has doubled in the last 6 days. There are two continents now.

Please... don't build a bunch of "far away" random portals in the nether just so you pop out in a new place. Let's use the current areas for awhile. If we keep growing at this rate, the map will be too big.

Oh and other things. Do we really have to put grass everywhere? It looks like weeds. Less looks better. Ease up on the fences too, Faffington is surrounded.

Guess that's it. Server will be down tomorrow, don't forget.

I think MCEdit can be used to erase unwanted chunks of the map. That could be used to keep the server strain down if it works.

I'm pretty sure that the map being bigger isn't what affects performance as only the chunks needed get loaded, what causes a drop in performance is when there are too many people on their own place (if I'm exploring with Alwayswatching and Flisch is building something along with Oviraptor, it will have a better performance than if we were all walking far away from each other at random). So the only real reason that LadyM has to concern herself with is if she has enough space on her HDD.

Luminar is correct about editing the map. If you need map editing done, I got pretty good using MCEdit for map-reduction purposes.

Also, I thought the Nether didn't work?
