I started playing a little bit and I discovered a couple of things. 1st) If you sleep in a bed that's outside or in a cave, it is possible to be woken in the middle of the night by a mob. 2nd) You can find sandstone naturally in the world. It's now the bottom layer of what would have been floating sand (a.k.a. sand traps)
I need a new tag.

Yeah, you need to make sure it's safe for at least 2 blocks around your bed.

Hey guys, was thinking of playing some minecraft, would anyone mind telling me the current server's IP? The one that got sent to me a while ago doesn't seem to be working.

Try this seed: -1784338777788894343

It has crazy caves and a ton of mobs.

That don't look like no IP address to me. Any idea how that number there is supposed to work?

In the newest update, when you create a new world you have the option of giving it a seed instead of letting it generate one itself. If you want to give someone a nice natural world you generated, give them the seed. It won't keep your spawn location or any alterations.

Interesting. So is it possible to seed a saved game?

No. Every world has its own seed which it uses to create the world.

Even if you somehow forced the game to change its seed, it'd probably just start abruptly generating a different map that wouldn't sync up with the other chunks you already had.
