I'll be a homeless vagabond and sit next to the front door begging for change.
Probably not a Goat, either.

According to the twitter, there's a US film crew documenting the first official days of Mojang's operations.  Tee!  That'll either be very interesting, or extremely boring.  Anyway, at least we'll get to see video proof of Notch working.  Or not as the case may be.

"Didn't get anything done today.  Was in video interviews all day." -notch

Tee!

Well, Flisch's Zodiac Suites are filled. But I recently finished six more apartments and they're up for rent! It's first come first serve.

Ovi was telling me that a bunch of materials were moved, possibly stolen.
Might just be a misunderstanding. I hope so though, 'cause it's not like total strangers have been on the server.
So if someone's being a schmuck, they will get found out. If he's reading this now, work it out in private with Ovi I guess through PM.

EDIT: I think I may end up upgrading my machine anyway if Minecraft's performance doesn't improve much.
Then again, I'd probably do it during tax time anyway. Lots of time for the software to improve.
Eh, whatever.

Problem is that I can't seem to handle more than four players lately. Sometimes not even three. It gets pretty bad.
But I guess I can't quite justify spending a few hundred just to host Minecraft. >.>

It wasn't me.

But I do admit to trying to kill Tesla with a feather. Truth be told, I didn't know we could hurt one another. And I didn't know that he was so wimpy that a feather could hurt him.

Also, how do we host a server? Let me try it out. My computer is better than all y'all's.

The server stuff is on the main site there. You log in and go to the download page.
Grab the Minecraft_Server.exe thing.
I use the jar myself with a batch file that lets me do some basic command line thing I learned.

Also, I bought some more RAM. Whatever. I'll soon have 8 GB.
Come tax time, if the refund is good enough, I'll have 24 GB and an i7.

Unnecessary? Oh hell yeah.

That's a few months away though. New stuff could come out during that time.
Dunno. We'll have to see.

But yeah, 8 GB RAM soon.

I'm not sure 24 gigs of RAM is going to do what you want it to do. You're going to bottleneck your system hard.

Go with 12 and the best processor you can manage and spend the remainder on a hefty SSD.

I guess I'm still iffy on the RAM anyway. I'm mostly looking for longevity, but 12 would probably be fine.

An SSD, yeah. I'd love to try one of those things.

Whatever I can do to make game hosting and overall system performance better. 4 GB isn't nearly enough for all the crap I tend to have running.

EDIT: Oh, yeah. And in order to do this, I'd need to upgrade the motherboard as well.
The one I have has a limit of 8 GB. The one I was thinking of getting had a limit of 24. So I figured "What the hell."
But I will consider an SSD, yeah.
