It was so dark under there we had to put up torches to see the terrain, in the middle of the day.

There was a lot more to this place than just that, too. It was quite impressive.

Tried to make a monster processor. It's basically just a glorified bathtub for the most part.
Suppose I'll need to redesign it a bit. It's not efficient.

Even a large 50x50x50 trap takes hours to get you items. It's faster than going out and hunting, but still.
I don't know. Maybe I'll try their way.
The other issue is that the game only spawns so many monsters in the area you have loaded around you. I think the limit is 150 at once at max, including around other players.
So if you have caves near you or even just the surface being unlit, it can get tricky.

My other issue is that my own design isn't efficient. It looks pretty cool but it's not good enough. You need a certain amount of surface area for monsters to spawn on top of, and then you need pits full of flowing water to carry them to their deaths.
It's pretty cool. Mine is in my base at the bottom of the shaft. Feel free to go take a look.
It won't be around long though. I'm going to turn it into... I dunno. A tree farm maybe. The next mob trap is going to be built a ways away and be much larger.
I'll do that only after I've gathered up lots of supplies though. So I guess I'll keep digging that tunnel I was doing before.

Flisch told me I would never find his underground city.

So, who wants to help me blow it up?

It's actually quite easy to find. He even marked the trail with torches...

That being said, a lot of us (myself included) put a lot of work into that place. It's quite amazing. :)

Since Pat wanted to see the city but logged off before he found the way, I guess I'll provide some pictures. :D

This is a shot from the wooden balcony Tesla built that gives a nice overview over the city.
The spiral staircase encased in glass in the middle is the main entrance, though we have a Fast Down (With landing pool) and a pretty unsafe boat elevator.

Our treefarm. :D

Which is connected to a small pond.

Behind the tree farm, KitKat built a pretty cool hydroponic farm for wheat.

And here are the Zodiac Suites. If you want to rent a suite, let me know. (There's no cost, you can move in for free. ;))

And here is a view to the treefarm from the Scorpio Suite window. :)

I can reserve one for you if you want, though.

I'd like the Aquarius suite. I'll be on-line in a bit.
