Zombie elephants will never forgive.
Probably not a Goat, either.

So can we get in there tomorrow?

I can put up my server, but I still want everyone to abide by the rules I'm imposing, at least for a little while until things start shaping up nicely.
Just don't want any of that wonky all-over-the-place mess like last time. I was also thinking that we'd build 7 tile wide main roads in blocks of like.. 64? We could tunnel where needed, but again, I'd like the elevation to largely be the same around the starting area. We can deviate a little, but preferably not too much.

I really would like this thing to look attractive. :s

Maybe we could have several areas of leveled land at different elevations, if we spawn in a mountainous area? I think that would look nice.

We should flatten the top of a cliff to make a mesa or plateau or whatever. Then we build an awesome sky city. In the clouds.

The starting area is in a fairly mountainous region. I thought I'd leave much of the mountains alone, but I did dig away at the base a little.
The spawn zone is cut out now too. There are stairs leading up to the flat area. I'd like the stairs to lead into a town hall of some sort.

If the 64x64 block roads don't give enough space, we could double that to 128. I was thinking a little about it..
EDIT: Let's go with 128. Big damn blocks. Go big or go home. Also, these blocks -do not- count the roads. So the roads are basically little divisions between 128x128 blocks.
We're not starting this yet until that station goes up though.

But yeah, some variation looks alright. It's all the slopes and erosion that tend to look ugly. Some uniformity would be great.

So, I haven't posted much in this thread, but me and some friends are renting a server.

Spent the last 3 hours making a tunnel in a tunnel.
On a related note, how do you guys take screen shots? Printscreen + paint doesn't work.
Fraps I'm guessing?

I'll post some pics later.

I Printscreen + paint and it works. Don't know who would buy fraps just to take screenshots.

I've seen people mention this on the forum before. There's a method built-in already but it's not very well known.

Hold F1 and press F2. The newly generated screenshot can be found from your minecraft settings-folder. F1 will hide the HUD and F2 will take the screenshot.

Gauph, what's the IP address for your server? I don't think you mentioned it in the thread...
