Yeah, that's really good.  Notch has it up on his blog too.

EDIT: This article.. my god.
http://gamercrave.com/minecraft-review-and-message/4348/

I was playing today and realized that's completely wrong (and not just in the way it is obviously completely wrong!)

Quote
I think you've got it exactly the wrong way. A Minecraft player isn't destroying anything, nor can he unless he leaves stuff on the floor or dumps it in lava. What is happening is a rearranging. Every cobblestone block you ever put down had to come from somewhere. Every unit of sand or dirt or even metal was once something else, so what's happening is bringing order out of nearly infinite chaos. It's about creating peace and safety in a world inherently out for your blood. These maps are unimaginably gigantic, and yet we sit there and make a space for ourselves despite our little towers and cottages being less than a particle in the functionally infinite space. It's a noble endeavor, really.

Of course, the bottom line is it's just a game. But a BS point deserves an equally BS counterpoint.
Yeah, [Kishmond] came back from Africa, but the ponies have him now.

I used to play the free game and make castles. The stairs would basically be blocks piled up on the wall, leading to the roof, way too easy to fall.

Later versions had towers you could visit from the roof, I believe, where the stairs rotated like _ | _ . Not very original, but I miss being able to save. :-\

not sure if this is better than cartographer, since with this you can easily find all the hidden dungeons and caves...wich sort of takes the fun away

Wow I never would have expected it to be as unknown as it is. I guess just not a lot of cross over between the minecraft and gamefaqs community.

Good Game on on ABC2 reviewed it last night I'll have to try and find a copy of the review to link to or post. They were pretty impressed although Bajo only gave 7 out of 10 but most of that was because it's still not finished.

7 out of 10 for an -alpha- is pretty impressive when you think about it, even if on potential alone.
I'm also pretty glad of the lack of gamefaqs crossover. The less potential griefing scumbags the better!

Are we playing the same game? Shoot... when I only play with the GS community half of my time is spent cleaning up after griefers.

It wasn't just that one guy. There were issues before someone went and burned everything down.
