Furnaces can be powered by lava buckets. It consumes the whole thing, bucket and all, but it lasts for a long, long time.

Would Celdur or a nice mod kindly remove my IP from Celdur's post.
Thank you.

And Gaup if you're gonna start up a new server I was asked to send you the map we played on yesterday. Mind PM me about that later :)

I haven't started mine up yet. I'm being a jerk and waiting on even more updates.

Was playing on Pixxel's server though. Discovered a dungeon in my travels.

So I crack open the wall and..

Those are the spawning rooms. I happened upon one of Zombies once and it crashed my game every time i got close.
No, no, he did. In the everything else section, at least. Officially, this makes him king.

We know eropS. It's more that there are spiders in multiplayer, and they just stand there watching you...
No way dude, you're trolling me.

FYI the compass is a Dwarven compass... it points east.

Yeah, I see that now. I was way west of the spawn point. Sorry for the misinformation. It points tothe spawn.

Naw, it points toward your spawn point.

Also, lava buckets only smelt one hundred blocks, consuming both the bucket and the lava in it. Is this worth it over coal?

I rarely have that much to smelt, so I just throw in over-abundant wood.
Saves coal for torches :)

I smelt stone/glass a lot. Looks nicer than pure cobblestone, in my opinion.

At any given time you probably have like 200+ blocks of planks, so why not use them.
I am bloody FASHIONABLE eagle!1!

I have more coal than wood, and it lasts a lot longer esp. when you are frequently smelting full stacks of glass or natural stone.
Yeah, [Kishmond] came back from Africa, but the ponies have him now.

wood is infinite, so its more preserving, but coal lasts allot longer and you only really use it for torches
might be cool to use a lava bucket in a steam train though...

That's actually a great idea. You'd be able to travel quite far with that, I think.
Though I don't know how long you can ride on coal anyway.
