I like the idea of a new map. It'll help clear out those lingering feelings of what's-left-to-do for a little while longer.

Yeah I'm up for a new map as soon as he adds mobs and stuff. I still feel like what we have now is creative mode since there isn't any real 'challenge.' Even going through caves is kinda pointless because there is no real way of refining those things that we find.

So, I did some counting and number crunching on that picture and came up with this.

            Diameter

            Circumference            Area            Ratio:C/D            Ratio:A/C            # for Dome
            1            1            0.785398163            1            0.785398163            1
            3            8            7.068583471            2.666666667            0.883572934            9
            5            12            19.63495408            2.4            1.636246174            21

            45            140            1590.431281            3.111111111            11.36022343

            1597
[/size]

Keep in mind that for the purposes of this, circumference is how many blocks it takes to make the circle.  It would seem that a circle of diameter 19 has the most efficient circumference for that width.  However, it is the 45 across circle with the best Area to Circumference ratio, as area increase geometrically against circumference's linear progression.

Incidentally, that last column is how many blocks it would take to make a dome of that width.  Just an interesting figure I thought I'd throw up there.
