As for my server, who wants a new map?
If not, no big deal. Otherwise, it'll always be sitting there as a backup.

Also to prevent my IP from changing if my router decides to reset it, since it's a dynamic IP, you can connect to my server at all times (as long as it is up and running) by typing:

deanwinchester.homeip.net

Instead of the IP:Port

It works, I tested it :D

That's pretty handy.
I stopped by but I guess I really wanted to make them roads on my map.

EDIT: Okay, I'd like to make some suggestions for our settlement. I know a lot of you would like to keep it since the map is infinite anyway.
-establish a clear street network made from one type of material (pick gravel or cobblestone or whatever, don't use a bit of one material here and a bit of another over there), and a grander road network between the more long-distance locations (I'd prefer cobblestone myself)
-cactus farm and papyrus plantations should be placed outside of our little living areas, maybe moved to a nice, spacious farming zone a ways away; keep separate and organized
-flatten and level area, raising and lowering as needed; fill in holes and tidy up
-get rid of ugly block messes, remove or complete half-built constructions (depending on whether or not they'll be in the way), improve or remove poor constructions, and so on like that

There is a big of scattered messiness going on, but we can fix it up. I'd also recommend removing trees that aren't necessarily decorative.

Some of these things can wait 'til Notch get back (tomorrow?). Other little things here and there can be worked on. When the more major issues get fixed up, this stuff is gonna go a hell of a lot easier.
For those who spot that road I made across the lake, don't worry. It's temporary.
Gonna make an underwater tunnel when we have glass and stuff.
I'd like to also one day see the area improved with powercart subways and such, but we'll get to that down the line.

EEh, Minecraft's being a little unstable right now. It locks up all the time, the only way I can unlock it is to alt+tab to the desktop and back. Mabe it's Chrome....

Yeah, what's the point of multiplayer if we all just split up into groups of two and do our own thing? We need a mayor and I vote Gauph. (Hint: it's not a vote.)
Yeah, [Kishmond] came back from Africa, but the ponies have him now.

I think that once we get a new update we should get a new map. I'm all for setting up a new settlement too although at this point it may be a little hard.

But I think cobblestone should be used for the roads. That way some person with just a shovel can't cause any major damage to the network. I also think that we could base the importance of roads by their width. Single block roads could just be walking paths, two block roads could be streets within settlements, and three block roads could connect different settlements. Just an idea.

And we do have to be really careful with trees. Forests may be nice but they allow fire to spread way too easily. Quite dangerous.

Tree farms are useful. A designated area for cutting down and replanting trees.

It would have to be large. Don't saplings need a 5x5 space to be able to grow?

We used to have really nice roads on the Reddit server. They were two side-by-side stone stair blocks with cobblestone guard rails. They were raised two or more blocks off the ground and had stairs at endpoints. Very nice. Funtional and aesthetically pleasing.

I vote me. Gauph is an idiot and has poor character.

Vote for Pat or the world will be destroyed.

I just created the Kingdom of Pixxel(Temporary name).
It's a small isolated kingdom built on top of a mountain. I built a big wall around it to keep uninvited guests out and to indicate where the border is.
I would appreciate if you didn't build anything inside that area or on the wall. Except if you're an official citizen.

Monarch/King/Ruler : Pixxel
Mayor: none
Guards: none
Citizen: none
Honorary citizens: Gauphastus, Kratok (Since your tower is inside the kingdom and I asked Gaup if it was okay.)

My goal with this kingdom is to build a rich and independent country with nice houses and alleys that fill up every inch of the country zone.
Ask me if you would like to take part in it. :)
