I think it would be a good idea to set aside land so that each person can build a house big enough for them, but small enough to be reasonable. But I also think it would be cool to have the houses closer to each other, so that there could be alleyways and close quarters, almost like a city. I think that would give the impression that the city is bigger than it actually is. At the same time there could be main roadways for easier travel, but I would just like some creepy alleyways.

Just sayin

Well, we shouldn't plan to build one big city for everyone. people don't want to all obey the same building regulations, and when some one tries to do something that they want to do, some one else might not like it, and you have a fight on your hands.

I think if people want to group up and build their own cities with a building code they should, but if people want to go an build a home however they want it to be, they should be able to do that too.

I have a thing for walled cities, as you can see...

I should be a city planner. This is so great.

Cool. I didn't know that railroads stack in piles greater than sixty four. What other stuff does that?

I've also been playing around with Cuperite, mainly just copying stuff from the forums. They've managed to make password-protected doors, and permanent memory.

You'd need 5000 gunpowder drops to make that much TNT O_O. Not to mention the 4000 sand! That's thousands of creepers and several beaches worth of sand and gunpowder!
I hadn't quite calculated the amount of supplies needed however i simply would like a crater like in this video.
<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O9w2ilGs5XM" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O9w2ilGs5XM</a>
I know the video involves a memory hack but i would just love to see a massive crater in a mountain near the town.

Well considar it your own personal goal then. Probably as long as you don't place your mega bomb near any constructed settlements. Also probably should give warning before you set it off as funny as it would be to have someone inthe blast radius by accident or even just coincedently happen to be tunnling under it. Sure we may all laugh when that person sudden goes OMGWTFBBQ!!! so any giant explosives being set off for mining purposes probably should get everyone back to base 1st.

Psst.  16 kilotons means 16,000 tons of TNT.  Are you suggesting that each stick of TNT weighs a ton?

Given the aproximate weight of 0.5 lbs for an average stick of TNT, that is 8,000 lbs worth of explosives, or 4 tons, or 0.004 kilotons, or 0.025% of what you said it was.

No i was saying that there was 16 sticks of TNT per block and there was a thousand blocks of TNT. I highly doubt that the minecraft TNT isint very close to the real stuff.

You said there was 16 kilotons, which means 16,000 tons of TNT.  There are 16,000 sticks of TNT.  Your statement suggested that each stick weighed a ton.

We need to employ an adaptation of the Messines Mines against our enemies.  Dig tunnels under their lands, fill them with explosives, make a new canyon.
