Tip: You can use manually placed waterfalls as a kind of scaffold for building under what you're standing on.
Yeah, [Kishmond] came back from Africa, but the ponies have him now.

I hope so.

I say we start a massive GS village, or various village with roads linking them together... when its released at least.

I don't know. I figure he might be wanting to handle seasons and weather before multiplayer.
But really, at the rate this guy goes, Minecraft 1.0 will be up before the end of summer.

He's a madman.

Yeah, I don't think MP is too high on his priorities.

It just irks me, because I can't help but play and think "damn this would be so much cooler with a bunch of people!"

I do think that if we did start a settlement, we should be free to play how we would like though, not assign one person to be a lumberjack, another to kill pigs, another to fight mobs, etc.

Yeah, when you try to make everybody pick a job they'll just get bored of doing it and take another job anyway. This stuff isn't long or complicated.
I figure we'll be having people spreading out across a large area making all kinds of homes and stuff. We'll connect with gravel or cobblestone roads and stuff.

It'll be fab.

Some additional resources or variations on the same resources we have now (stone/soil/trees/flowers) along with the region/biome thing would be great. Deserts and snow-capped mountains and stuff.
Different mobs in each region as well.
Don't know if all this is part of the plan though. It seems he has some ideas he hasn't discussed yet.

Actually, one thing I envisioned back when this was first starting out was warring kingdoms.  We each have our respective territories.  We can trade resources, or take them by force.

Anyway, I hope that the natural progression of the minecart is trains, allowing for faster travel across long distances.

Also, there needs to be more iron.  Seriously.  For every 3 iron I spend on a new pick, I only find 2.

Thought I might as well post some pictures of my little house.

A shot from the outside

A shot from when you first walk in (crafting room)

Up the ladder to the "grand hall". the door to the right goes into the kitchen, or where I keep all of my food, and the left goes to an outdoor balcony.

A view from the balcony.

Down the ladder goes to the basement, and even further down goes to...

The mine!
Which I have yet to do much digging in.

There's a farm on the top, but its still a work in progress.

Wish I was either lucky enough to find places like that or that I had the attention span to build that :P

Nice house, Skyward. You actually made me want to go back into the game and build something like that for myself :)

And that's just bragging, Celdur :P
