So Pat left the server up for me tonight, by which I mean left up for a couple hours before something broke and it kicked me out. In that time I started a little construction project, which means it's picture time!

So the first step of any building is the foundation. In my case, I want to be so well grounded that I'll always know where I am.

Everyone knows that after the base, you have to work the shaft. Here's mine, nice and white, built rock solid.

The entrances, one on each side, extend out a bit from the base now.

The central stair inside is placed using jungle wood. I like the color and I wanted to distinguish it from the oak flooring.

Once I know where my floors are, the next step is to dress up the outside. I've ribbed it, for her pleasure, and added frosted windows since much of the area is snowy.

I've dressed up the tower walls, but next is the area below, which will be slow and daunting. I want a smooth hill down, which means I'm going to be placing a lot of dirt, one row at a time. The area will be hollow, as I plan as expanding most of the interior underground.

This is what I was doing, about a third of the way finished, when the server went offline. I feel like there's a lot of potential for this construction and the surrounding area, but I won't get any more done tonight.

Looks great!

It kicked you out? That's odd. Were you able to get back in?

Must have something to do with the new connection I'm at. It's complete crap. :|

I'll have to setup a stock minecraft and see if I can get on now that I have a decent connection (my upload was always terrible).

I've been playing with The Boy on the ATLauncher using ModSauce2.

I forgot about that thing. I figured you'd have burned it down by now.

Is there a way you can make a more concentrated blast? Like a single tnt block with its stats jacked up to low yield nuke levels?

It'd be nice to do some detonations with those. And you could use hardened materials to funnel the blast down a tube to measure its boom-boom factor.
