The demo is out for this on the 360 and PS3. I just played it and it is awesome. There is nothing more satisfying then bringing down building with a hammer.

yeah i wasn't expecting this game to be fun but it was. I had a blast with the chase sequence. I'm probably going to grab this one.

I hated that it was a single player demo. It wasn't even a taste is was slowly drifting waft of epicness.

I remember seeing my cousin play the first Red Faction, of course, I don't really remember any of it, except I believe it was in first person back then.
I am going to try the demo, see if its any good.

No not at all. All three focus on different characters and settings. They common theme is some sort of revolution. The first one was a workers revolution on mars to overthrow an oppressive mining company. The second was basically a revolt to overthrow a totalitarian government using super soldiers. This third one goes back to mars where the EDF (Earth Defense Force) takes over and they were the good guys in the first one. They turn to an oppressive rule. Also during the time between the first and third one Mars was terraformed.

Wow i just tried this and i am pretty impressed.
If the weapons, vehicles, physics, destructible terrain and cover system all carry over to the multiplayer then this will be one badass game.

Not interested any more. They took out vehicles and the cover system from mulitplayer claiming the back pack systems makes up for it. So pretty much its just another mindless carnage multiplayer game like halo  . Maybe the multiplayer demo will change my mind but its looking pretty bleak. |
