The first Cockney rhyming slang-stravaganza!
« on: November 19, 2005, 02:21:08 pm »
baffeled by the large volume of American geography in games such as the Oviraptor challenge I thought i'd even things up for the people of the commonwealth. Anyone who knows a good bit of Cockney rhyming slang post it and see how long it takes for others to decipher it. If you live in Britain, Australia or anywhere else like that try not to answer until it looks certain everyone else is stumped.

Heres an example: use your loaf = think. Loaf of bread= Head

And an easy one to start: Up the apples

Sam is basically right, he's just cranky.

It's rhyming slang. I know the answer, but I won't post because I cheated.

but I'm unable to share it with others

Last i checked that didnt rhyme with apples. Plus its not something that rhymes directly, it rhymes with something associated with the word.

Its not Loaf = uuuum, something that rhymes with loaf, its 'loaf of bread head'. think of something that is commonly associated with apples.

Just post "wares" and have people think "How'd he get wares from apples? Oh, it's pears."

the only Desmond I can think of is Desmond Tutu and if you graduate you are in school. I can't think of anything else it rhymes with but 2.2 or two-two. How did I do?
