Martin coughed, " When I said democratic, I also meant they'd mostly all be elected... Including the Councilors. We can work out the fine points later, if the bill passes. "

Martin shrugged, " Then some other party can make an attempt at a structured government. I still say we disregard the school bill until we have structured government. "

"I would like to repropose my schooling bill."
A senator of the Machinators suggests:
//Henceforth, the government is to establish a committee consisting of sixteen people, to be voted on simultaneously with the senate, in charge of education.  All towns with a population of 5,000 or more must have at least one government-sponsored school.  Non-government schools must pay a special tax of 5% of all tuition fees plus $10,000 and must follow regulations voted on by the Education Committee.//
He still furiously typed away at his autobiography.

A man with greying hair in a black suit stands up.

He turns his glance to the Machinator's representative, "The Socialist Party votes a resounding no on your education proposition, as it violates our parties ideology and our sense of morals. We feel our voters and our entire party would  disapprove. We feel it could allow education to be filtered and twisted, not pure and healthy."

The best person ever.  She should have won the Peace Prize.

What? No full control over children? You do realize that some of us have particular plans for those children.

"What idealogy and morals do you speak of?  The morals to not care for our future?"
A resounding "THINK OF THE CHILDREN!" boomed through all parts of the senate that had Machinators in it, and even a few nonmachinators joined in, though they didn't really know what was going on, just that thinking of children looks good.

"The morals that dictate our children's education shouldn't be left up to a committee, that could possibly have it's own agenda. I would like to propose something."

Bill Proposing:

Human Republic Immunity

The man with graying hair says to the room, " The Socialist Party proposes that the Human Republic be immune to all wars and personal conflicts that may occur between former nations. The bill also states that the Human Republic's main government offices be guarded against terrorist attack, or," He casts a glance at the Machinators, "Other threats. The bill proposes that each member of the Senate or any legislative body have a personal bodyguard to prevent assassination attempts."

"Although the world may be unified, it is still a dangerous place."

A man with a short, black mustache and a stern look sat up.  "We vote nay to this bill.  It could potentially be used for malicious purposes."

Martin scratched his chin in thought, collecting himself. This bill seemed to pose no threat, indeed, it would be a boon to himself and his party. Not to mention the degradation of Vladimir's ability to win in the eyes of his followers. Every less member of the Machinators was one step closer to their destruction. Martin didn't want these crazed goons gaining any sort of power. He stood, saying resolutely, " The Caretakers say Aye to this bill. "

Martin sat back down, and looked at Vladimir with a smiling glare, getting his message across.

Breaking News!
Recent investigation has delved deeper into the voting records of the Human Senate elections. It appears that several large areas of land were in able to register as voters and have since contacted several of the larger media stations. Over the past few hours these voting statistics have been checked and rechecked, but debate has broken out around the world. To ensure that the Human Senate did not fall into chaos, the Human Senate itself agreed to a general reelection on the grounds that the bills already voted upon would stay as they are.
Since then people from all over the world have streamed to the polls to voice their political viewpoints.

--Reelection Begins--

A man in black with large sunglasses and an expressionless face sat up.  "I say ugh.  I encourage our party members to change our votes, if anything just to move on, and because it will protect us as well."

Votes changed to Aye.
