The adventure editor! Apparently it will let you create a scenary placing up to 10 vehicles (and probably creatures, buildings and decoration). Doesn't it look great?

Well, I'm excited. For those of us who dreamed of having lots of control over the planets, I think this may could be what we're looking for.

I'm pretty sure you misunderstood. The towns you create appear in adventure mode and not on your normal play planets.

But, Planet editor and fire breathing?! Looks like Maxis pulled through for us!

Even though Spore itself was a bit of a disappointment (not the editors, just the game). I already have my 30€ well saved for this, damn you Maxis you got me hyped for it again

Don't see anything about a planet editor. But it says you can personalize planets with the adventure editor, so you probably could use it to make towns and cities. They just wouldn't produce spice, like normal cities.

And I don't think there's an "Adventure Mode". The adventure scenarios are probably placed on normal play planets, though you would have to get out of the ship to actually play the adventure.

Needs moar Flora editor and a sporegasm is on the way

On a side note, planet editor along with the adventure editor which allows to customize the planet will allow for planet wide cities I guess, although only the actual cities will do anything, you can always fill the rest of the planet with buildings.

I just read the article on Kotaku (http://kotaku.com/5136768/three-things-that-stand-out-about-the-spore-expansion), and you're right about the planet editor! 

But still I don't see anything about "Adventure mode". It seems you just find adventure planets on the galaxy, beam down, and have to complete the quest before being able to leave.

Well, that's clearly a mode in itself. It's the very definition of mode.
