I thought it was good but I think the new guy who plays Dumbledore did a horrible job.  It took me right out of the movie when he started talking.  On the other hand I think they did a great job with Voldermort.

Yeah, "Voldemort"  must have been in make-up for hours. Dumbledore didn't sound wise enough, just sounded like a normal guy. The old Dumbledore kicked ass though. SPOILER>>>At least Dumbledore won't be in the 7th movie.<<<

I disagree. I like the new Dumbledore alot more. The old one just seemed like this old inactive guy whereas the new one actually shows some emotion.

My problem with this Dumbledore is that he shows way to much anger and is way too aggresive with Harry.  In the books he always believes Harry and is kind to him.  He acts like a father figure to him.  Not like a distrustful old man.

I should also say that nobody saw it coming in the books...

In the end, according to Jowling's book, Ron and Hermione hooks up, not Harry.

I saw the movie this saturday, from a person who has read all the books, and seen all the other movies, I think this one was somewhat better than the last one. However, I do feel that a lot of book 4 is cut out, thus it was disappointing. However, I do understand that it's really hard to fit a 600 page novel within 2 and a half hours.

If you havn't seen the movie, go see it. It's not GREAT, but it's good.

I hated the way he said Potter, it was so American like. Podder!

Voldemort was awesome! In the scene at the end with him , I couldn't help but think, "I've got your nose Voldemort and I'm going to keep it!" Anybody else a fan of Legendary Frog?

But that was just the problem. It may work in the books, but I don't think it works at all in film. We have this character who knows alot (you know, the prophecy and everything) and weird things and potentially dangerous things are happening. It completely makes sense for a person to start getting impatient or angry.
It also shows that he cares for Harry. Parents don't show love for their children by always being nice and speaking with soft voices, they occassionally get angry, and it shows their love for their child. I'm not saying that Dumbledore is Harry's father, but he is pretty much a father figure.

Then Harry's mother is... McGonnogal! Or... No, I don't like that idea. I don't like that idea at all.

I have yet to see the movie, but from what Ive seen, the new Dumbledore isn't great. He yells  and exaggerates everything! He's like "ONLY ONE WILL WIN EEEEETERNAL GLLLLLLORRRRRRYYYY!
