I like a couple of their songs, but let's be honest... they've become a bit of a girls' band.  It's like owning a copy of the Backstreet Boys or My Chemical Romance now.

My favourite Green Day song is "Time of Your Life". A great acoustic song.

Dave Mustaine has more talent in his pinky toe than all of Greenday put together

some of their songs are acceptable, but on the whole their style annoys me
Kings 2:23-24 --- The Holy Bible
23 From there Elisha went up to Bethel. As he was walking along the road, some youths came out of the town and jeered at him. "Go on up, you baldhead!" they said. "Go on up, you baldhead!" 24 He turned around, looked at them and called down a curse on them in the name of the LORD. Then two bears came out of the woods and mauled forty-two of the youth.

everything went sour when they released American Idiot.

They made Dookie which was great but nothing special then then after Nimrod and eps etc they made Warning, my favorite green day album then politics entered their music and ruined everything.

I saw this coming from a Mile away when I saw the title of this thread. Damn people are shallow ignoramuses.

I loved Dookie, and Having a Blast from that album is one of my Favorite songs. I loved American Idiot, though it was distinctively different from their previous albums. Then again I love politics, political discourse, and the Freed of Speech and Expression. I guess that makes me Un-American for thinking the same.

**** America. You know why? We constantly bully and interfere with affairs of other Sovereign nations. We defy the UN and International Community. Our education system has gone to pot, our job markets are being outsourced, we're in an economic decline, we elected a chimpanzee puppet (an incredibly stupid one at that) as President TWICE, and before gas prices started to get "out of control" (they've been out of control for years, just ask any European/Englishmen) all we cared about was what Celeb was porking another. The News Media doesn't even dispense real news anymore, because real news doesn't sell. We get soft news and propaganda (from all sides). So I'm not saying eff the Country, when I say eff America, I'm saying eff our ignorance and our throw-away, ignorant, and apathetic culture.

Oh yea, Jesus of Suburbia is one of the weakest tracks from American Idiot.
