Mario Kart DS getting rave reviews
« on: November 14, 2005, 06:31:02 pm »
To date Mario Kart DS hasn't gotten less then a 9 from any major website it's been reviewed on to my knowledge, and scoring a 9.5 from IGN and 9.2 from GameSpot.

Holy cow, I thought this game was going to be good but I didn't know it'd be as good as these reviews are portraying it as! Yet another must have game for the DS, and another reason to own a DS in the first place.

I'm getting a DS with Mario Kart for Christmas, and I'd love to have some online races against anyone else who gets the game!

If you can wait until next week then there's a Red DS (which looks cool) bundle that comes with Mario Kart DS. It's $150 which means you save $15 off the game.

*shrugs* I haven't played it, but it's supposed to be like previous Mario Kart games, albeit much more refined. One just needs to play a Mario Kart game to realize how fun they are.

Super Mario Kart is like in my top 5 greatest games of all time. Not realitic racing but huge fun some of my greatest gaming memories are managing to hit hit someone with a green shell just before the finish line to pip them at the post.

Now I have Mario Kart DS I picked it up at EB an hour ago the only reason why I'm here telling you about it and not screaming round Mario's circuit is because I picked up the DS with bundled together for $200 (AUD). Heres the thing I think I got some people in trouble while flicking through the manual it was metioning to organize setting up you online internet call Nintendo services line thingy to order USB wireless adapter which i do i get through and they ask me where I got the game because it isn't ment to be released until tommorow so the AUstralian online DS service isn't going online until tommorow.

Oops oh well I shall be well practiced by tommorow and have played the battery from charged to flat and become the greatest Australian DS Karter igoing round.

I agree. I knew this game would be great, but I certainly didnt expect it being this great! Even Gamespot gave it a 9.2! Now keep in mind, this is the same website that gave Mario Kart 64 a 6.4! I can't wait for my Wi-Fi USB connector to arrive. Then I can start playing online!

I don't have a USB connector. I have a wireless home network. I set it to automaticly find the setup. But when I first tested the connection I got an error. I thought I was going to have to manually type in my IP addresses but then I tried to connect to WiFi just for a test. It connected and then found me three other players, next thing I know.. I'm playing and I have my Friend code. It was really pretty easy after all.

I have a computer upstairs and one downstairs that it connect wirelessly.  When I get the game do I sign up on the WiFi website.
