Yah... And considering I still haven't looked at the video yet... I think that will wait for a drunk collage gaming orgy.

If my computer hadn't crashed whilst installing an EA game (can't remember which one,) I wouldn't have had to install it again, wouldn't have been forced to reading upcoming releases through boredom, wouldn't have found out about spore, wouldn't have come here.

Well...if i had never seen the GDC o5 video of Spore.

I would of never googled spore

And never found gamingsteve

And that means i would not of seen Gauph post this in the off topic topic

http://www.foddy.net/Athletics.html

That means i wouldn't of played it.

And that means i would have never clicked an ad there

Which actually lead me on to actually win 200$

Funny how such a small decision can have a large impact later.

Well not from the ad itself.

It took me to a site and i ALMOST left. Because as far as internet schemes go i have seen it all. But upon doing research i found this site was legit. Anyway the site at hand is a game site where people compete for prizes. They have these games that they switch out each day, Anyway theirs 3 ways to win.

One: Have the highest score on a game at the end of a day. It was really close but i won it on a shooting game. I got to choose between a PSP i think an ipod, a digital camera or a 200 dollar visa gift card. I chose the 200$ gift card. You can only win a daily prize every 45 days in order to be fair. I was lucky the guy that almost beat me has already won 7 of those gift cards. He was a vet

Second: Even if you win a daily prize you should keep playing because whoever gets the most daily wins in one month gets a prize. The prize for this month is a Nintendo Wii.

Third: Once your a member for 45 days you are allowed to challenge people. Whoever wins the most challenges in a month gets a prize. But the challenges have to be unique so you can't challenge the same person over and over. This months challenge prize is a Nintendo wii AND a 200 dollar visa gift card.

Now the catches, the site is littered with ads and you see an ad after each game. You also have to install something of theirs which will give you a maximum of 4 pop up ads based on things you have been searching. While annoying its pretty worth it to me. Whats more i am pretty sure only US residents can win the prizes. In order to receive your prize you have to upload a photo of yourself, Send them a copy of a photo idea to check your age and compare to your uploaded photo. Fill out your shipping address info and phone number, Call their number and give them that info FROM the phone number you put in your account info. And when you receive your prize in order to be eligible to win another you have to upload a photo of yourself holding the prize and give a short testimony.

The games themselves are pretty simple browser games. Some are luck some are skill many are both. Most of the time you have 60 seconds to get the highest score possible but in some games you have a health bar instead.

I do have to email them a copy of a unexpired photo id before they can send me my prize. Mines expired but i have a week to do so so i gotta go Wednesday and get one.

I would post the site (or actually make a topic for it) But I'm not sure i am allowed since its almost advertising it.

EDIT: Holy crap that post was much longer then i intended!. Sorry!
