yea well, I think there was a hole in the spambot firewall or something. Seems to be confined to the site news section, but then again, spambots tend to target the first forum section.

Wouldn't a simple image code check on registration get rid of the problem? Of course, we'd need Steve to do it and he rarely comes by nowadays, let alone having the time to implement something like that on the forums.

Do you mean the little box which has letters and numbers of various sizes which you have to copy to validate it? I thought we already had that.

I don't recall having that when I signed up, either way those have to be some really smartass spambots to get through it :P
