it seems to have kept the fingers on the third limb sticking out.  fun.  did you actually go through an evolutionary process from the common ancestor, or just give them similar taxonomy?
I have been told
not by one but two of my lovers
that I've got a heart of gold
but I'm unable to share it with others
They call me a poet who'll never have a poem
a tiger with no taste for bone
I'm the wonderful wonderful wizard who's waltzing alone

Similar Taxonomy since the Scyth Bear was made first, then the kelp whale, then the tricroc and finally the double sea wing. Though i could always rever evolve them down to a an amphibian with 6 legs and 4 eyes etc

Hey i havent posted in some time, but i check the forum everyday, this art pad thing is kinda fun, however the style of art i can make is limited compared to that of my own creatures i have drawn by hand. my art pad style might seem a bit...childbook like, but i assure you ill be scanning some of my drawings some time, and youll get a real idea of my art style. well anyways, i made this..um thing..it kinda popped in my head, and then i added...alot to it..

yea, I can draw better on paper (at least I can erase mistakes or make adjustments on paper), but I don't have a scanner  :(

Here is a tribal phase of a new creature i made. I think this will be my first creature unless i can think of a better one.

Naucean - Shaman

Note: The patterns on him are painted on. They are not his natural skin coloring. They are suppose to add the sense of culture and mysticism to him.

cool, is it supposed to be on the same world as those other 4 eyed creatures you made?

and the hands are evolved from its multiple tougnes or something.

and the hands are evolved from its multiple tougnes or something.

They are tenticles that sit in a mouth-like cavity. At the back of that is a beak like a squid in which leads into the true mouth. The tenticles also are have chromatophores and can change colors like squids. They use them in a matting dance in which they open their mouth-like cavity very wide and then wave around the tenticles with flashing bright colors.

Also i was taking things i liked and mixd them togheter into a creature. it has the body shap of a raptor, but the mouth of the baleen squid, then the 4 eye of the creatures from before, then a whale tail, skin and bowhole on the top of the head. Also i addedon 2 of the mouth tenticles a 2 thumbed hand with 4 fingers total.

I am planning to make a reverse evoliton for this guy, tracing him back to single cells and work more on what cultures these aliens have. Like what sort of style of buildings, culture and other tribal things included in Spore.

a reverse evolution of that would be cool. did they evolve from a creature that went into the water and then came back out? or did they evolve in the water from the start?

"a reverse evolution of that would be cool. did they evolve from a creature that went into the water and then came back out? or did they evolve in the water from the start?"

I meant i will have to make the evolution up and trace ti bacwards so each adpation makes sense to why it looks the way it looks.

And sicne it has lungs on the top i am guessing it evolved in the water, then came out for lungs and then went back later and then back out again thus keeping many of it marine features from the 2nd time going in.

Anywho. We shall see.  ;D

Just do a little drawing for each stage of its evolution based on the desciptions in italics, if its not too much trouble obviously  :P
