2nd Clone Wars DVD
« on: November 11, 2005, 08:55:40 am »
It's about time. It is scheduled to come out in a few weeks, and I just can't wait!
I loved the series, despite how hard it was to catch it. I got the first one immediately after it came out and now I can finally show my friends why I won't watch all the movies in a row without Clone Wars in between 2 & 3.

For those of you who don't know, Clone Wars is a Star Wars cartoon that was made from the same guys as Samurai Jack and was played on Cartton Network. It is basically an episode 2.5. It is a little over 2 hours overall I believe. Watching it before I saw Episode III was awesome because it tells you a lot of things, like why General Grievous coughs for example.

Anyway, if you like Star Wars or Cartoon Network shows, definitely pick these DVDs up. The first one is available now, and the 2nd disc will be available in early Dec.

*Spell Check doesn't have "disc"

yeah I have the first series, damn awesome, very much action-packed!
When watching them all in a row, its annoying have to watch the opening and closing credits everytime.

Do you have it off of the internet or the DVD? Cuz my DVD version doesn't do that at all. It makes it a solid movie.

You may be able to tell, that I to like the Clone Wars.

Though the DVD never made it to denmark, even though it was shown here to.

Yeah, the legit DVD is a seemless half-movie. I had the DLed version for a long time. It was really high resolution and was great, but the opening and closing titles every 5min sucked.
Sorry to hear that Cool AN. I pretty much started this topic because I love your sig gif.

Oh...oh I was pissed when I saw how lame Grievous was in the movie...Oh and he was shot by Obi-Wan? WTF?
He killed over 12 Jedi. Try and count his lightsabers, he's just awesome. But of course he gets killed like some F'ing droid. *grumble grumble*

If you haven't seen Clone Wars yet and you want to see the Jedi, Grievous or Mace Windu decimate all! then get this DVD.

No, just a really good general for the Separatist armies. And once he is nearly killed, they make him into this cyborg and teach him to use lightsabers.

Darth Maul comes back (in one graphic novel) with the same cyborg legs Grievous has and tries to kill 2 year-old Luke on Tatooine. But Obi-Wan kicks the crap out of him.

Yeah I know I'm a geek. I became a hard-core one when I got a Star Wars tattoo.

hmm, i heard he was supposed to come back at some point.

the "terminator" plot doesn't really work without actual time travel.

I don't think Grievous will come back. He was running off of his human brain and organs, I don't think they could pull off some "his brain was transfered to a computer" crap.

But Maul can, he didn't die, just chopped in half. And as we saw with Anakin, the Empire can put anyone back together. And Maul wouldn't be time-traveling at all, it was only like 10years ago that he fought Obi.

right, but he kills luke before he can become luke.  it would only make sense if he went back in time to kill luke before he became luke.

But if darth Maul knows where luke is then supposedly the emperor does too and he could have kept trying to kill him. You also seem to be forgetting the 'there can only be two sith, thing'. Sidious wouldnt have made Dooku his apprentice if plastic toy man was still alive.
Sam is basically right, he's just cranky.

i thought it was "there can only be two sith LORDS", with plenty of force-wielding underlings.  even if you don't trust KOTOR as canon, there seemed to be a few of them with the emperor in a scene in RotJ.
