God of War

I'm enjoying how this game can have (through the secondish level) copius nudity and get away with it by virute of being set in antiquity.  Good stuff.

Otherwise feels like a classed up DMC, which I'm considering a good thing.

I too am very suprised. It has both sex and violence and is definately "worse" than Conker's Bad Fur Day (which was Adult). Although Conker did have a fair amount of cursing and singing poo...

That was also back in the days when the ESRB was a hell of a lot more strict.

This says that Conker's Bad Fur Day got an M.

Conker was definitely M when I got it.

I own God of War right now -- it's killer

Wow, for some reason I remember it being an Adult rating because at the time it was a "big deal" that it had "mature" rating. I guess a few years later an "M" rating is no big deal.

Yeah, I just pulled out my copy of the game and there it is big and bold ... "M" rating.

I'm getting old!

Despite the murder and bosoms, are people enjoying this game.  I haven't bought a game in a while and my money is starting to warm up in my wallet.  This game looks very tempting as does The Movies.  Any opinions?  I'm extremely pliable and easily persuaded.  -leeman

The game is perfect as far as gameplay goes ... it's like letting you play in your favorite action movie -- I beat it in 8 or 9 hours according to the save menu.

It does have some replayability and lots of bonus features, but I think you should really look forward to more God of War games in the future. The various bonus features hint at all sorts of new plots for the new game.

this is one of the best games i've played in a long time... sorry to revive an older thread but i gotta talk about this game, and i hope others join in, again ;D...

i really think this should be considered the game of the year because, it boasts the best graphics, best storyline, and the best gameplay... i cannot believe all the detail that was put into this game... when you just sit back and look at the landscape, it really takes you by surprise... in the first level, i was just amazed at the graphics before me but, as i got farther into the game, i still couldn't believe my eyes! they really put a lot of attention to detail in this game... unbelievable! and the game was so easy to play, yet very challenging at the same time... it's hard to do that but, this game did...

one thing i've thought about for a while now is, how are they gonna do the sequel? i would imagine that it would have to be a prequel or something because the game basically ends with a final note... you really can't go ahead from where the first god of war left off, unless you start to do god-like things...

i'd imagine they'd make the next game about defining who Kratos was as a general but then you wouldn't have the cool chained swords... so, maybe they would show the deeds you did once you gave your life to the god of war...
