Looking for Indy that is actually Good
« on: October 08, 2008, 05:51:47 am »
Yep, heres the deal: I love indy music. Dunno why, but it tops anything with a major record label, any time, any day, in my opinion. The problem is, it's indy, and impossible to browse for using normal means. Here's what I love to listen to:

1. Andrew Jackson Jihad (like, my favorite.)
2. The Cat Empire (less indy, I actually found an album)
3. Electric Six (awesome)
4. Gogol Bordello (coming to my home town!)
5. "Teardrop" by Massive Attack (I don't really like the rest)
6. Modest Mouse (again, less indy)
7. Streetlight Manifesto (like Cat Empire, more epic)
8. Tally Hall (good, weird music)

These are in alphabetical order, if nothing else.

Any suggestions?

I don't know if you read Questionable Content, but Jeph Jacques is a good source for indie bands.
