Which WWII FPS?
« on: March 24, 2005, 10:38:05 am »
I have to get a present for a friend of mine who is a big fan of WWII FPS; I don't think he has played any since Call of Duty came out.

Which should I get him?

I've never played it, but Brothers in Arms: Road to Hill 30 looks really good.

It is also available for every console in addition to the PC, so if your friend prefers consoles that's always an option.

BIA is definetly my choice if you want a good WWII FPS. It has a good story line, lots of action, and just everything you want in a FPS. ;D
Game On!

Try Battlefield 1942.
Note: Dsl or higher required and only good playing multiplayer.

Brothers in Arms is a damn good game... but if your friend is more of the rambo-type player I don't know if it's a good match, as it's more of a tactical game. If that's the case then go with Call of Duty... or maybe get him a gift certificate to a game store. ;D

He's already played through Call of Duty and is a big bf1942 (and vietnam) fan.

Which version of BIA - X-Box or PC?

I have it for the PC and love it... I really think most games run best on the PC... it's like comparing cames that come out for the PS2 and XBOX. Unless his computer's lower-end, or he really prefers a gamepad to a mouse + keyboard, get it for the PC without a second thought. (you could always give him the reciept if he ever wanted to swap anyway ;D)
