World Wonder Series
« on: October 03, 2008, 04:43:35 pm »
I came up with the idea of making a world wonder sporecast some time ago, but posting it here only came to my mind now. So, I'll be creating more stuff as I improve my building skills. Up to this moment I've been defeated by the Eiffel Tower and the Colosseum, but we'll see about that.

This all started because of a Kremlin picture I stumbled upon, which led me to make this:

Now there is a whole world of stuff to make.

This needs more middle ages!

There's more coming... Leave your suggestions please!  ;D

I hope I am able to work on that some day, who knows? But now, I give you...

If you think it's a great structure, which I do, thank the brilliant Indian architects. If you think it's too dumbed down here, which I do, thank the brilliant complexity meter.

I'd like to see you do a Colossus of Rhodes, or some thing like that. :-p

Awesome, awesome stuff. If I could off a criticism though, the angle for the pyramids is too shallow. The pyramids are at a steep angle, but the angle you have there is to shallow and makes the pyramid to short looking. Still awesome though.

Maybe try a Great Wall-esque wonder?

And I agree with you, however I wasn't able to manipulate the pyramid block in a way that it would have the right size and the right angle at the same time. I should've made them smaller instead.

But it's all good, and I'll see what I can do about the Great Wall. And if some day I can manage the Statue of Liberty, then the Colossus won't be very hard. Thanks for all the feedback!

EDIT: About the Colossus. I gave it a try, but I'm still thinking about making other versions of it, what do you think?

Not that bad considering the somewhat limited nature of Structure Editor's blocks. Quite good.
