When lies and propaganda go too far

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080925/ap_on_re_as/as_china_space_article_1

So China has announced the successful launch of a spaceshuttle, except, you know, the shuttle hadn't launched yet.  This wouldn't be that bad, but accompanied with the report was astronaut chatter, moment to moment tracking of the shuttle, video of ground technicians staring at screens of the supposed launch, etc.

If thier shuttle had blown up or something happened (I'm not wishing or have a desire for it to happen), they would have egg on thier face big time.

Even former soviet russia didn't make this kind of mistake.

I'm guessing that was during the cold war where they were allowed to do that.

After the CGI footage and the lipsync at the Olympics, I'd believe anything!  :P  Seriously though, I'm not that surprised, but I still think they made it.

Well they did actually lunch the thing. Buran the USSR space shuttle that is. The controversy was that no video footage of the actual launch was first show. But now it have been release confirming that it did actually launch

The controversy was that they lied telling the world that the launch was successful before it actually launched.

Lies and propaganda gone wrong would be China sluaghtering and burning the houses of farmers and covering it up, it would be America bombing a small town to kill a spy and not telling anyone. This is simply bragging.

I have here with me, a potential can of worms, and thread redirecter. I shall forewarn you, that after I open it, I am going to bed, nice and cozy away from the immediate blast radius. :P
Lets not have this drift into a pointless american-bashing sentiment again, try to keep it on subject.

Here we go :
What about that 9/11 thing, where there were news broadcasts confirming building 7 had fallen, except it hadnt, a while before it fell? I dont like it, but this only makes me stand more towards the shadow of the conspiracy theorists; it lends them more reasonable doubt.

This kind of thing isnt new. The news isnt held by law to tell the truth, it is only held to its reputation, and its want to appear true. It might as well be classed as an entertainment business.

Indeed they did, here is the video evidence, notice WTC7 behind the reporter when she announces the demolition of it, all this retard of a reporter had to do was turn her head and see that the script she was reading from was complete BS.

But she was not the only one who knew it was going to explode....... (Sound is a little loud on 2nd clip)

It would appear the NYPD and the workers near building 7 were all psychic, since they could predict a building comming down, so offcause China can predict a succesfull launch, at least we have seen succesfull launches before, but we never did see a steel building collapse due to fire before 911 ....

Lots of people announce things before they happen (click for link to story).

But seriously, I'd take anything the Chinese news agencies have to say with a colossal pinch of salt. They're not exactly known for telling the truth. The question that remains, though, is why they would announce a successful launch mere hours before they were about to have... a successful launch. ??? Puzzling.

Maybe someone is attempting to send the world clues that time travel is indeed possible.
Or at least that there exists a device or person that can see into the future.

Talking about propoganda, Nouth Korea's media stared into the camera, didn't flinch, and said that Kim Jong Il hit 69 hole in ones (or is it holes in one?) his FIRST time playing golf.
