Kings 2:23-24 --- The Holy Bible
23 From there Elisha went up to Bethel. As he was walking along the road, some youths came out of the town and jeered at him. "Go on up, you baldhead!" they said. "Go on up, you baldhead!" 24 He turned around, looked at them and called down a curse on them in the name of the LORD. Then two bears came out of the woods and mauled forty-two of the youth.

I'm desperately trying to find a video of Tripod's New Aussie Anthem. It's very mean and offensive but also very funny, and also totally unavailable even as an mp3.  :(

This is my favourite National Anthem:

As for my country, patriotic songs have been out of fashion for a hundred years, I can't find any. No big loss to anyone I'm sure.  :)

I don't know, this song just touches me, way more then our national anthem. Perhaps because I can relate to this song.

In Dutch, I'll write the translation with some explanation on certain things:

[Lange Frans]

I come from the country of Pim Fortuyn and Volkert van de G. .
The country of Theo van Gogh and Mohammed B
Come from the country of Croquettes and Frikandellen
That you can even order at the spanish coast
I come from the country where Air Max is never out of fashion
Where they break you as soon as you're making it
From the country with Red-white-blue and the Golden Lion
Plundering the world, calling it the golden age
Come from the country of wheat farms and Fietsvierdaagse
The country where you can ask a junk for a bike
The country that became the champion in '88 (soccer)
The country of Herring biting (Old tradition, can't find a link for explanation) dams and Canals.
I come from the country of, the country where 'Lange Fransie' (Tall Fransie, Lange Frans is his Nickname)
This is the country where I return to after holiday.

I'll translate some more but I don't have any time anymore, also, I'm kinda tired so I'm sorry if the translation is a bit vague. Ah well, atleast it's better then babelfish (A)
