PC - Ultima Underworld 1 & 2 (Elder Scroll's Grandfather)

PSX - The entire Deception series that was released on the system. If there ever was an under appreciated series this would be it. I remember getting so terribly depressed in the first one from a turning point event that just struck some major emotional cords, the rest of the series had similar events. It really tested your morallity. Unless you can think of another game where you kill someone's father/husband and than are faced with the surviving family and are given the choice to kill them as well and just wipe out their whole lineage.

Eat the game before it devours your life !

PC
Ultima IX: Ascension (The atmosphere in that game--after the big patch CD-- is amazing! very well done!)
Ultima VII: Pagan  (Ok, a lot of people hated it. But, also, excellent atmosphere)
Dungeon Lords (after the patches, this game is a lot of fun! Definitely worth a second look!)

Consoles
Enclave (Xbox)
Oni (PS2)
Summoner 1 and 2 (PS2)
Summoner (forgot the title) (Gamecube)
Soulblazer (SNES)
Actraiser (SNES) (the second one was horrible)
Gauntlet 4 (Genesis)

Ancient Games
Sword of Fargoal (C64)
Beyond The Forbidden Forest (C64)
Legacy of the Ancients (C64)
Dungeon Master (PC) (second one was terrible)
Eye of the Beholder 1-3 (PC)
Aztec (Apple ][)

Gamer since 1978......Adventure on the Atari!

Silver, brilliant game. I played in the gone past, but nevermore. I lost the cd :'(.

Edit: forgot this is the Console board, so let me put up a underappreciated console game:

Gargoyle's Quest II

Really, you should try it, brilliant game.

Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance. I actually  just beat that game last night--seriously one of the best games I've ever played. It sold somewhat decently in Japan, but pushed hardly any copies over here in North America.
