Since we're asking questions, can you use Siren's Song on Epics to befriend them? I thought of this after (for like the 100th time that game) using Siren's Charm to befriend a species that was once my enemy (got to love Carnivores with only 1 Social stat) but couldn't find an epic after that no matter how hard I looked.

Has anyone else tried befriending an Epic yet?

Since my football game is over I'm going back to the game now. I should be able to (hopefully) find some Epics soon.

I am looking forwards to your detailed descriptions of the Epic Creature Digestive Process.

Actually. The Epic leaves me alone. Siren's Song doesn't affect them, except it seems to make them indifferent  towards you. When you use it on any other Red creature, it allows you to socialize. So far though I've walked right under the epic without him bothering me. It wasn't until I attacked him, that he stepped on me. Dang.. I was hoping you could placate Epics too.

I love befriending rogue creatures. I got three of them in my posse once, and it was amazing, I would wipe out entire nests of 10 creatures with 60 or more hp in just a few minutes...  ;)

Yea.. Rogues are handy... but.. I was hoping for an Epic.. haha. Maybe someone will mod it. There is probably a value somewhere that makes the Epics immune to Befriending.

I think you don't have to think for very long to see why it's not possible :P (without mod)
It's interesting that you can make them neutral however. Did it stay that way permanently?

Their face was still Red, but the Epic wanted noting to do with me. It just sort of froze in it's tracks and stared at me as I moved around it. It stayed that way until I attacked it and it stepped on me. I went back to it later and sang at it again, it never bothered me and just went about terrorizing other creature's nests near by. He was Red, but he wasn't aggressive towards me.

I kind of knew it would be impossible, but I hoped Maxis made a little slip there.

Hehe yeah I expected as much (about the slip).

It's cool though if you can keep them from attacking you that way, I'll remember that.
