I believe the "hardcore" ending, is finding earth, which happened almost instantly on this forum.

There was no ending to finding Earth, its found and then thats it.

And also i have the same question: Will Wright says that we have play more than a year to discover the real end of the game... In two days of the European release the people know the position of the Earth and the secret of the center of the galaxy... is the end??

if you open you "My achievements" on the Sporepedia Ingame, the last achievements are "secrets"... humm, very strange

Indeed, makes you wonder, does Will just think the galaxy is too big so its capable of hiding a good few secrets, or are there really something to be found/gained from playing for a year?. :S

probably when you destroy the grox completely,you see the real ending of the game.

There are apparently unreachable worlds inhabited by the grox so this may not be possible.

The unreachable world thing can probably be circumvented by having an ally attack that planet. If no allies are around, you can raise a creature to space stage on a planet near it, ally them, and request them to attack the planet. If all else fails, there are a few trainers out there, and I know one disables the travel range, so you can travel the max distance anywhere with any drive.

I finally made it to the center of the galaxy last night. I thought the cut scene was really cool. I had to laugh at Steve, wonder if it was named after anyone we know.

This is how I did it. I bought up about 15 extra health and charge units then when I got into Grox territory I just planet hopped as fast as I could using the recharge and rehealth as needed. I also kept my auto guns off so they wouldn't fire. I had to back track a few time with the lack of stars but I made it. To get back I just let myself die and was back on my last planet.

I made it to the core in a few games with minor problems, and in my last game I was allied with the Grox and just cruised through.
Then I colonised earth, began war with the Grox, and now I don't know what to do.

Steve though, lol.
Can I revisit him to refil the staff of life?
Because if so that will help me cut through the grox, 42 uses makes no dint at all to them though.

Rick created a spore mod that makes the staff of light infinite use and 10 second recharge, personally any other game I'd consider it cheating but honestly if you don't abuse it I think you deserve it after getting to the centre.
