Windows Vista Home Premium
Intel Core 2Quad Q6600 @2.4Ghz
4GB Ram
Nvidia GeForce 8600GT

The specs for the game is very forgiving. In par with Sims2 I think.

Heh, I've bought a new pc, 50% because it was well overdue and some other % because of spore.

Previously I had it running on a Dell Latitude D610 (1.6GHz) max ram, intel integrated graphics 910/915.

It ran! After you got past the BSOD from the graphics driver. And if you could play with audio echo. In 800x600.

I still played it for about 10 hours.

Now:
Asus P5QL Pro
Intel Core 2 Duo
2Gb RAM
MSI 9800GT Video

Not overclocked (yet). Flawless.

My PC is high-end so it wont help you much to know its specs, but I can see if I can test Spore on my flat mate's GF's laptop for you when I get a chance this weekend.

Windows XP
Intel Core 2 duo E6850 - 3Ghz
4gb Ram DDR2 800Mhz
XFX Geforce 8800 Ultra - 756mb Ram
500gb Hard Drive
X-FI sound Card - 64mb
24" Dell LCD screen.

Runs very nicely, however surprise there so few setting options, One thing I would like to see added is support for 7.1 surround sound or Creative X-Fi, EA usually do a good job of supporting this card for there high profile games, so heres hoping there a patch on its way.

PS: does anyone know if there is any extra features for DirectX 10, I'm sure I read somewhere that they where going to support it, but being a non vista owner I'm not sure.

Well enough bragging about your systems, it was asked if anyone had probs with the full version after running the trial without probs, that is me.

I have (don't laugh)

AMD 64 3800 2.4ghz
1g ram
nvidia geforce 6100 512 mem

I updated the drivers for my on board vid card, got directx 10, double checked that no AV or firewall is running (even hidden)

The game will do one of 3 things when i start it 1) nothing, 2) black screen then back to the desktop, 3) splash screen for a sec or so and back to desktop.

I have tried different resolutions, windowed mode, compatibility settings, and nothing works.

I figure it is one of 2 things, either the non compatibility with the video card, or the downloaded version is messed up (or very different from the trial)

Any ideas? Other than buying a new vid card.....

The 6100 is listed is an unsupported video card, so that's probably your problem. Unfortunately, no clue if you might be able to get it working.

runs spore on a amd 3000+ with 1GB ram, 6600 gt graphics card.

Well in space it lags quite often. also other areas. But I run almost any settings in high except shadows..on low.

XP Home SP3
AMD Athlon 64X2 4200+ (2.2GHz dual core)
2GB RAM
Nvidia Gefiorce 7900GS 256MB
19" Monitor, 1440x900 resolution

The game runs fine with all setting on max, with a tiny bit of lag when moving around a planet in Space, and also I have to have depth of field on medium to avoid frame rate drops first noticed in the Creature phase. I run the game at 1440x900x32, 59Hz, so I could easily get rid of any lag by decreasing the resolution, but I'd rather avoid any stretching or blurring. I does appear that Spore is using both cores to some extent, which is good news, and should help those with slower graphics cards but fairly good processors (I'm thinking laptops here, which tend to be dual core these days).

Xp Pro
AMD 64 3200+
2 gigs of ram @ 3200(200mhz)
Nvidia 6800nu 256mb ram XFX OC edition.

I maxed everything in the cell stage and I had to turn shadows and effects down for the creature stage as the lag was too much.

The CC had lower reqs and that is not what the OP is interested in.

Vista 32bit
Athlon X2 6000
2GB RAM
Nvidia 8500 GT

Runs fine at 1280x720 on my widescreen monitor with everything maxed, except shadows on low.
