I know about gliding, but I have seen a group of spores actually fly and stuff.

Actual flying happens in tribal and civ, where you can see your tribesmembers fly ALL THE TIME while travelling.

I got my creature to fly as long as I pleased with level five glide. Even got the Flight of the Bumblebee achievement. :)

Ive actually made a couple of butterfly's and the popular Steggy ( atleast thats what Myspore tells me, it gets befriended and extinct a lot)

They all fly. The trick is to tap the space key at the right time.
It can add a lot of complexity and an extra layer of fun to ur game.

Flying/gliding is also a very fast way to travel, especially combined with a high jump ability. Useful for when youre playing a predator and extincting everything in sight.

If you aim it right you can even reach fruit on trees by using glide to snatch it out of the tree. This is a bit difficult though.

Ive been trying to get that going since i started fidling with wings.
Didnt manage to do it yet.

Any particular strategy or do u just fly and hit the fruit icon at the right time?

Pick a medium sized tree.. give your self some running room. Using Sprint and Glide. Keep click behind the fruit (on the ground or another fruit) and than quickly click on the fruit you want to eat... That's one way to do.. the other is just to get lucky.. I've only done it twice.
