The Artists of Gaming Steve
« on: August 22, 2008, 11:17:52 pm »
This may become the T.A.A. of everything else and will be keeping track of art projects, collages and challenges. We'll call it T.A.G.S. since T.A.A. is dear to the creation corner. First off, I'd like to start an index of members with dA pages or other personal galleries like Sheezy and such. If it contains profanity or mature content please let me know so I can tag it NSFW. Posting of random artwork should be preferably kept in the doodles and sketches thread. Requests can be made here too and I just may form a system where requests will be quoted on the OP of this thread as a sticky note.

There will be a bit of construction from time to time so be patient.

and here's my digitalart.org profile, with older, more artistic paintings:

Good idea!

I fully endorse this thread.  If I was a real artist, I'd put up a link to a page of my stuff.  So... as a fake artist, if you need anything made in clay, I'll be happy to help.

I have a deviantArt account

I haven't put too much up there. Except for an unusually popular communist duck...

Do you still take TAA requests, in addition to requests here?

Is art but the canvas, but the word? Is art the song, the dance? Is art the leaves that gracefully fall into the path of a carriage as it hurries away a young woman from a suitor she did not choose?

Wonderful.  Now unless you actually have something to contribute, could you go wax poetic somewhere else?

While I very well might create such a thread, I have given in and created a piece of visual art for this one.

For anyone wondering, I know there is another thread, the Merry Doodles and Sketches thread but this one is going to be more like the one in Spore TAA. I believe people can put art requests here and Gec plans to organize it and keep links. While it's similar I think it's different enough to have it's own thread and I suggested that he do it. :)

I keep getting reassured by people that I'm good, so I guess I'm available to draw inanimate objects and wildlife.

Well well well... the artists are here! How're you all doing?

I've got some things I'd like to see drawn. They're all related to the RPs and the subject matter is very diverse. Anyway I'm sure you've all heard this before.  If you're at all interested, please send me a PM and we can talk.

Lizard of Oz wanted me to post this here, and I figure it's a good a place as any.

Special Contest!
From now on, I will be running the Multiversal Travel Bureau Contest! We will start with RU1.
Rules:
1. You must make an advertisement for the universe as a tourist attraction in comic form.
2. When I get three comics, I will judge.
3. I will judge on artwork, creativity of format, and ammount of information presented. Bonus if you weave a story in.
4. I will edit the post and illustrate the universe with the winner.
5. Then we move on to the next universe for the contest.

Basically, he's asking for art for his Hall of rejected Universes. You can find them either here in the RP and Story section, or at Worldrealms under Worlds (See sig)

DeviantART Accounts

I'm not quite sure if there's already a topic for this, or if there is one, if it's still active.

So basically, this is a nice little thread to share your DeviantART account and art. Hopefully, we'll all enjoy this and have some fun. =3 I also hope this will bring more people to other people's pages, so more views and more comments. Mostly because, there are people out there like me, who only are satisfied with their art once it's been critiqued. ^.^: I'm in the stage where I have Darth Grievi look over all my stuff before I even think of uploading it, and there might be more people who think like that, so all art is welcomed here! But please try and keep it clean..... So let's hope this thread stays alive, and I hope to see some more great artists arise from the ranks of Gaming Steve!

I know I have one somewhere too, I can't even remember what name I used.  Never uploaded anything to it anyways.

I do more literary stuff than visual, it's been a while since I've drawn anything, however I'll keep this thread in mind if I ever do decide to use my Deviant account (and dig through my email to find my username first).

You know, you could upload whatever you want. Just can't be videos at the moment. You have to be part of the Video Uploading Committee in order to do that. Literature is welcomed on DeviantART.

I have a Deviantart account, but all I do is lurk around and collect (Favorite) art. I've been lurking devianart since '06, back in the days of my youth when my mind was young and I read fan-fictions in the light of early sun-

Hello, Artists! I've a request to make;

Could one of you kind fellows create a signature image for my Metagame, Containment Leak? If you don't have time to read through, here's the basic plot so far:

"Julia Vega, an average, middle-aged woman, is infected with a bioengineered organism following an attempted hostage situation. The parasite manifests as red-black tendrils capable of consiming organic matter and, to an extent, healing Julia. It has also enhanced her strength to a small degree. However, it is consuming her from the inside out, feeding off her organs and gathering nutrients from her bloodstream. As she investigates the origin of the organism, she appears to be on the verge of stepping into a conspiracy, if she hasn't already become a part of it herself."

I'd do it myself, but I tend to be rather bad at graphic design and my tools are a bit limited at this point.
