I was having the same problem with my space shuttle (http://www.spore.com/sporepedia#qry=ast-500008169391%3Asast-500008169391). It would not successfully upload, no matter what I did. Finally, I changed the name, completely cleared the tags and description, restarted the program, and then is worked fine. This seems to be a pretty wide-spread problem.
That seems to be the only solution. I just did that with Gardevoir and she's perfectly uploaded now. even adding a space at the end counts as a name change.
But yeah, I agree that this has to be fixed. There doesn't seem to be any reason unless it's a bizarre combination of letters in the description or something.

I kept changing the name, tags, made it even reduce complexity on one of my creatures. It just wont upload. This is seriously annoying.  It's really starting to piss me off.

I once had the same problem with one of my creations, until I recognized that one of the tags existed twice on it.
I removed the unnecessary tag and it worked... :)

I'll make sure that they are aware of this issue.

I think Oviraptor has one like that, the Vvukkrauur he made won't show up on his page or in my Sporepedia. We have found a solution with other creatures, like if I made one that wouldn't show up then I would send it to him, he would change the name and send it back and it would show up in the sporepedia. At that time I could upload  and it worked out fine.

It's been doing it again for me lately, not even on comlex creatures. If I remove the description and tags it's fine, and then I add them on the Sporepedia website itself and hit Update. A sort of round-the-houses way of doing things.

Good call mentioning it to Maxis LadyM, hope you and the others going have a good trip!
If you peruse my things, you get POINTS!

Only trouble is, they're Whose Line Is It Anyway points, which are infamously not worth anything.
