Sid Meier's Civilization: Revolution
« on: August 05, 2008, 07:15:57 pm »
Anyone else playing this? I know you PC people think it's a dumb down version of Civ 4, but I really like it.
It's a lot more streamlined for consoles, and I can actually finish a match  :D

What do you guys think? Especially all the hardcore Civ 4 players.

I wouldn't call myself a Civ veteran but I have played the 4 PC entries in the series.  With that background in the series I would have to say that this new title is much quicker and easier to play but very shallow.  Ultimately that makes it a great console port but after finishing several games in the few days I had it, I felt I had done all the game had to offer.

Unfortunately, I think you are right  :(

The game is a bit shallow, I'm still having fun though.
I hope they have some DLC later on.

Germany is a beast in this game. It provides a good challenge on the upper difficulty levels, though.

I've got the DS version with me on this trip and I'm not that impressed yet. Helps pass the time though.
