Animation Glitch
« on: July 31, 2008, 04:58:12 pm »
Greetings everyone ;D

I seem to be having a problem in the CC with the Charge animation of my creatures.  The animation looks fine up until the very end when the spine seems to disconnect and jerk up for a few seconds.  This only happens when the creature has more than two legs, and all of the Maxis creature do it as well.  I don't remember it happening until I upgraded from the trial to the full version

Has anybody else had this problem?

Yes, My Dog did this too, I haven't checked my others though.

It's a common glitch that happens to most creatures, it may be fixed in the full version of Spore. Its really not fixable in the CC, although having a large flexible part such as a tail can help. See my Alderaan Crystalback Spider: http://www.spore.com/sporepedia#qry=usr-smjjames%3Asast-500006886270 which seems to deal with the problem ok.

I think the glitch is arising because of the recoil from the force because if there is a part which moves freely with it (like the abdomen does on my creature mentioned above), the glitch doesn't seem to appear.
