Huh, just stumbled upon this thread. I've been working on my push ups for a while now. I'm up to 75, which I think is pretty good.

This may not have to do with anything, but I used to be able to do 0 push ups, and now I can do 10. Whooo!:P
(This isn't because of obesity or anything major, just been growing like a freaking weed, so my muscles haven't been working too well. Also: I'm 6 feet tall.)

Week 1, Day 1. All sets passed, like last time.
My maximum for Set 5 was another 17 pushups.

EDIT: Oh, wow. I don't think I mentioned it, but before I decided to do this thing, I had already been watching my diet (just a little) and doing some old workout routine I used to do.
Bicep/ab/wrist curls, pushups sometimes, squats, and spot running. Not a hell of a lot. The workout usually only lasted at most a half hour.

I weighed myself a minute ago. In a week, I've dropped ten pounds. I weigh 170.2.
Hah. Now to celebrate by feasting on two whole cakes and a turkey stuffed with butter and gravy.

Actually, now that I have some free time (dropped a unit at uni) and no one around to laugh at me, I could do this.

Edit: Did the initial test, can do 19 push ups.

20, without stopping. I've done roughly a hundred before, but that was with about 5 seconds pauses to breath every 17 or 20 push-ups... Doesn't really count I don't think.

Last measure I was 143.

I was 160 last physical.

Just eating less and walking more.

I'll be glad to slim down to 160 or less.

But yeah, muscle tends to eat any fat you put in your body.
So if I hold at the same weight but still slimming out, I'm gaining muscle mass. I need it for all the heavy labor I do too.

 6'3''  and as thin as can be.

 relative to my hight, i'm underweight my doctor says im in the bottom three percentile. you know your too thin when an anorexic Girl (so to speak) asks for part of your meal, than changes her mind, saying you probably need it more.

they say skinny people get results from exercising faster, though. muscles show up faster. ive noticed it on me...

A little update: I did this last summer and my record was 70 records in a row before I felt enough was enough.

Today, I can do 30, then I'm spent.  :P

Damn, where is that thing I stumbled upon about doing loads of push ups and eating lots of big macs. This thread needs to see it!

I did a bit of searching for it, but I couldn't find anything.

Just completed Week 1, Day 2. Did 20 pushups on set 5.
Weight still hovering around 170 but I'll drop more damn it.
