Hmmm...

For the special contest, can we just write an advertising blurb, or team up with someone who can draw people to some degree?

Unfortunately, Wonderful Lizzard isn't able to update this thread himself anymore, and has moved HRU to Worldrealms (Check the link in my sig)

However, for those of us who'd just rather use the old thread, I'll be copying his uptates over here.

Reject Universe #41
RU41 was designed by Insert to make a point to a colleague in an argument. He later regretted it, as in order to make that point he put billions and billions of humans through hell. Every human as a seperate subuniverse. The subuniverse consists of an empty field. Nothing can be changed-if you wrote your name in the dirt and quit looking at it, then when you looked at it, it would not be there. There is no starvation, all needed energy is transported into your body by the very universe. Mating occurs three times-once at twenty, once at thiry, and once at forty. During mating, sperm are taken by the universe and placed into females, which means no one even knew it happened in the first place until all the females become pregnant. When children are born, they are transported to a new subuniverse of their own, which means no-one ever meets anyone except their mother, briefly at birth. Fortunately, Multiversal travellers have no such constraints to stay in their subuniverse, as they are native and have no subuniverse, and thus can rescue the inhabitants-but only one by one.

(Oops, I forgot an appendix. Next one'll be double.)

Reject Universe #42
A millenia has passed since the modern age. What has happened to our world? We have gone much farther into space. Only five countries exist:The United States of America, the European Union, the New Soviet Union, the People's Republic of Asia, and the Australian Empire. Though all are far into space, only the USA, the NSU, and PRA have faster than light travel, though the other countries are typically trying to steal it. Faster than light travel is easy-you just need to temporarily shrink the entire universe. Though time travel has been discovered impossible, a common sight is a time viewer-a machine that allows one to look back in time. A dollar's worth of electricity allows you to look back a month. The more electricity used, the further back you can see. Just as the RP starts, the US ship the President Harry, sponsored by the George Bush XII Foundation for Multiversal Knowledge, with thirty scientists, ship pilots, doctors, and just average citizens, began it's journey through the worlds. The ship orbits around Khan IV to collect energy for its travel (Khan IV mysteriously emits energy). It has an onship portal for travel. Approximately an hour is required for the creation of each portal, though once the portal is created it can be used at any time. RU42 is currently the 4th most advanced multiversal civilization.

Quote
Reject Universe #43
RU43 is the site of the biggest Mentcrack possible. It affected American culture in a large portion of the twentieth century. Years ago, there were two civilizations, a barbarous one and a civilized and advanced one. The civilized one decided they were bored, so they bulldozed the entire planet, created a habitat for the barbarous one, tought the barbarous one how to use it, and then shot themselves. The planet is a humongous city. Males and females have completely different roles in society. In childhood they are the same. They are tought in spherical spheres about society (they live in the spherical spheres as well, and do not leave until graduation), until at age 12 the males are released and at age 16 the females are released. The males go to find a pack-groups of nomadic motorcyclists who hunt their own food. Females attempt to find a job. Packs travel from motel to motel nightly, though sleeping in the grass is not uncommon. Every pack has an Alpha Male, who gives all the orders and becomes AM by killing the last AM, or, more peacefully, by getting the last AM to say he is the AM. The Alpha Male is not the only male who mates, merely the most likely. You see, when a male feels the mating urge caused by seeing females, he first must take his shirt off (to avoid ruining the shirt). He puts his arms by his sides and sweats rapidly. But this is not normal sweat. When he spreads his arms out, the sweat has solidified and formed into a circular (When his arms are correctly positioned) mating display. The more elaborate it is, the more likely a female will see it and request mating. Alpha Males always have the most elaborate and colorful mating displays.
Society
Society in males has already been explained. However, females are really the workers and the creators. They build the buildings, they run the buildings. Males visit the buildings for their services, but can never truly own one. Some common buildings include (this'll be a blur) Diners, Malt shops, Disco Halls, and Coffee Shops. Additionally, there is no religion, but not athiesm either. No-one has thought about it. The equivelent, for females at least, is fashion. Some females think miniskirts are best. Others support jeans. Yet others rely constantly on short shorts. Males think it is rather silly, as they do not care HOW they desire mating, they just care that they desire it.
Wildlife
A creature called the Jukebox has a symbiotic relationship with humans. It moves from resturaunt to resturaunt and eats quarters in exchange for songs. However, a mimic, the False Jukebox, looks exactly like it but has teeth and will attempt to eat whoever uses it.
A deadly predator called the Wild Automobile, which looks like an old Beetle but has teeth underneath, will attempt to roll humans over, and then eat them. Fortunately it is easy to kill, you merely must shoot it's windshield.

What the?

Well at least will he be back at all?
He doesn't have to migrate without leaving entirely :-\
Kid: Oh wow I'm being deflowered by a grown woman!
Mother: By the way I'm your mother
Kid: OH GOD NO

EDIT: That's where it becomes rape if you were wondering.

I believe he was banned, though he didn't give me specifics. It would make sense.

Reject Universe #44
Spiders. Where do you think they came from? RU42 was still evolving as RU44 was being designed, which made Insert think the following thought:
"These things are AWESOME! I'll make them unintelligent, make them arthropods instead of chordates, make them REALLY tiny, and make them in RU42!"
You can see that he was very intellectual that day.
In RU44, humans have three sets of arms and one set of legs. They liquify their food with their teeth before eating it. And, females at least, can create webs (The gland is actually in their breasts, giving it a secondary use). The species is entirely arboreal and avoids the ground at all cost.
Society
Society has three stages (two for males). The first is schooling. They spend the first eighteen years of their life in this period, much like RU42 today. After graduation from college, mating occurs. After mating, females eat their mate. This cannot be stopped, it is an instinctual reaction. A tube through the female's spinal cord brings the egg sac to the head. Finally, a hole forms in the roof of the female's mouth, and the egg sac falls out. The female then roasts the egg sac over a fire. Each egg springs up and turns into a human, like popcorn. Then, comes work. There are two kinds of job. Studentwork, and Workwork. Studentwork is work to make the lives of the students better. Workwork is work to make the lives of the workers better.
Wildlife
Springloaders, snakes that spring from tree to tree using their tail as a sort of leg, are very tasty, at least to RU44ers.
A horrific animal called the Ghrabivin, which looks something like a Chinese Dragon and lives on the ground, has a student (always female) sacrifice made to it every year. There is one for every village.

The Genesis Corporation was starting to get into the public eye. Eventually, Gunjab State Penitentiary contacted him. They wanted a jailhouse universe, pronto, to drain their prison space and use it on something else. Thus RU45 was born. It was an endless desert. It was worse than the death penalty-it is impossible to die in RU45, but there is also no food whatsoever, making constant starving and never dying. It is said that eventually, when the universe needs cleaning out, tigers will be placed in the universe several million miles, that actually CAN kill. Some even think that this has already been done, and that the prisoners simply have not run into them or vice verca yet. Any way, it is a hostile and deadly universe.

Soon on Hall. Of. Rejected. Universes:Reject Universe #47.

Quote
Reject Universe #47
Infinite continents. Unlike other flat infinite worlds, which are either all water or all land with a few pools, RU47 is like the world, with continents that take up around thirty percent of the space. Technology never developed here. In RU47, exploits in physics, called molecular perpetual motion, aka "magic", allow an element called Merlinium can create energy and control it with enough will power, effectively allowing spells and magic (Merlinium only works in RU47, other universes do not have the physics bug that makes it possible). There are five subspecies of human, three intelligent:Humans, Mermen, and Centaurs, the intelligents, and Harpies and Gorgons, the unintelligent. They can all interbreed. The race of the child depends on its gender. It will become the race of it's opposite gender parent. Like, if a female Mermaid and a male Centaur mated, a male child would be a Merman and a female child would be a Centauress. Intelligent genes are dominant-if a Human and a Gorgon mated, it would be intelligent even if it were a Gorgon, though this happens rarely as the three intelligent species consider the unitelligent ones to be complete animalistic garbage.
Wildlife
Dragons, unicorns, a large amount of mythical creatures. Some are more obscure. For instance, a species of lion that can suck in its prey from a quarter of a mile exists, as well as a wolf that's body is over ten miles long. Interestingly, Unicorns are not herbivores like horses but are in fact photosynthetic. They are also the base of the foodchain.
Society
Many social movements that occured in our world occured, but many did not. For instance, though the civil rights movement occured, the abolition did not, which means that black people can vote, have jobs, and attend public places freely, but are still slaves. On the other hand, though the sexual revolution occurred, the women's rights did not, meaning that women are free sexually but are still housewives, cannot have jobs, and are subject to domestic abuse. Tech levels (at least based around magic) are around the level of modern RU42-automobiles and computers are all magicbased.
Enough Soon:Reject Universe #48

Quote
Reject Universe #48
In RU48, gas giants are dominant. In fact, there are no stars or planets, just gas giants that consume others through gravity to become increasingly bigger. Creatures either live in the gases or float on the top of them. Humans float on the top of a red gas giant called Gabinjit VII (The number refers to how many gas giants it has consumed.). Floating disk-cities are home to humans. Position in society depends on how well your stories are taken. Stories that are of the "There was a little girl. Then she died" variety will most likely get you a ditchdigger position, or worse, (the worst position in society, actually, is rather surprising-Mate of the King/Queen. The only thing is, it isn't a mate like a spouse. It's a "I whip you until you mate with me, then lock you in your dingy cell until you need food to live, and then let you out again to mate with me under force of whip". You get to be a King or Queen if you turn out to be the next Homer or J K Rowling. Incidentally, most of the people on this forum would probably be Mayors.
Wildlife
An animal that looks something like a legged stapler with bug-compound eyes exists in the position of a rat. Lots of fish (the fish have eyestalks, by the way) of different sizes swim in the gas. Some are merely nibblers, nibbling at the toes of humans unwise enough to put their feet in the water. Yet others are called Fauxnibblers, sharks sized organisms with a toungue designed to simulate the touch of a nibbler, making people think nothing is wrong until *CHOMP* the person is in the Fauxnibbler's stomach. An extremely rare thing is called a Collosus, an enormous fish large enough to eat an entire city, though typically it only eats cities when it mistakes them for its prey, an enormous floating mammal called a Flatfloater.
And Next:Reject Universe #50 And More.

Quote
Reject Universe #50
RU50 is infinite in some ways, finite in others. If you drew a line across it one way, it would touch itself like a line around the Earth. If you drew it exactly right, it would go forever. It is an infinite cylinder, with a diameter in any circular section equivelent to that of the Earth's. Humans fly with batlike fleshwings, and live in cities in the air (really just EXTREMELY oversized hotairballoons). Their technology includes busses, telivisions, and even computers, but it is all made using steam technology, not electricity.
Wildlife
The Glurges are the reason that the RU50ers left the ground in the first place. They are dog-sized thingyroach-things that eat nearly everything, are constantly spreading, require a car's worth of weight to smash, and destroy the ecosystem on the ground. They are slowly making ground life nearly extinct except for some stowaways into the cities and creatures big enough to avoid being eaten. The ground is nearly coated in them and thus is avoided.
A Dispeler, which looks like a stapler with legs and compound eyes, lives in the place of a rat. It steals food, damages buildings, spreads diseases, bites small children to death, destroys the air city's sandbags, making them fall to the ground and killing all the men, women, and children inside, and makes rather annoying noises.
The Mosheg is a rotund floating organism that filterfeeds bacteria. It is an important food source for humans.
The Snamp is an enormous ground-creature that can actually stomp the Glurges to death. It attacks air-organisms with it's crocodile-like jaws.
The Zenom is a parasite/carnivore. It starts life as a small box. When a woman touches the box, it springs out and impregnates the woman with a baby Zenom. This is the last point at which it is killable by means besides starvation. It then is born-but not like baby humans. It eats its way out of the mother, going all the way from the birth canal to the head and then coming out of the deadened mouth. It grows over the course of an hour into a fearsome, black, flying humanoid. It eats lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots of humans. It then mates, lays eggs in the form of the boxes, and then causes itself to evaporate. (Yes, I know I ripped that off from the xenomorph. And your problem with that is...?)
Society
Society is in a form of anarchy. One city may be built as a gift to mankind, and the next may require a tax of some of your food to live in. Most hunt their own food, though some will trade for it.

Metaversal Structure
A universe is defined as an infinite space, surrounded by a Universal Wall, in a space the size of an infinite number of infinities. A Universal Wall consists of Seprons, particles so densely packed that neither matter nor energy, even in their fundamental forms, can penetrate them. The only way to leave a universe is to fire a soul (much like a neutron at an atom) at the Sepron wall, thus causing a chain reaction that should loosen the Seprons and allow you to penetrate them. Portals to other universes, as seen in the RP, are actually a system of portals, much like internet cables can actually connect to many hosts. First it connects to the universe's edge, then it penetrates it, then it connects to the other universe's edge, then it penetrates it, then it connects to the place you want.
Coming Up:Double Appendix.

Quote
Double-Appendix
Interesting Facts on RU31
RU31 is in severe danger of breaking as people do not have matter in their body's to hold their soul in, thus making souls fly around like bundt cakes.
Interesting Facts on RU32
RU32ians will be severely damaged by very minor wounds. Getting tapped on the shoulder typically will kill one.
Interesting Facts on RU33
RU33 people do not particularly like platformers. This is likely because everyday life for them is a platformer.
Interesting Facts on RU34
RU34ians do not speak with their mouth. They speak with their navel.
Interesting Facts on RU35
The occasional criminal will avoid sterilization/memory removal, but are typically caught and punished with death.
Interesting facts on RU36
Grenades that shoot lasers in all directions exist, as well as the laser guns. They are very rare, though, and likely will shoot you as well, and thus are not used very often.
Interesting facts on RU37
A rare birth defect in RU37 will cause the child to be born as a polar bear. The exact reason is not known, but they are typically aborted by the Pods.
Interesting Facts on RU38
RU38 creates an odd noise every time it changes. It sounds something like a windchime, though this is only knowable from viewing the change from outside.
Interesting Facts on RU39
There is no reason why RU39 is called the Kingdom of Mathos. None at all.
Interesting Facts on RU40
In the center of each of the discs is a bacteria that would potentially cause a Zombie Plague. Noone knows how they got there.
Interesting Facts on RU41
Female RU41ians are generally better at accepting the idea of other objects than males, as they actually see their children for a few seconds.
Interesting Facts on RU43
RU42 got back at RU43's enormous Mentcrack with a Mentcrack of it's own, though it never knew it, which transplanted RU42 names in. The most common male name is Al, and the most common female name is Rhonda.
Interesting Facts on RU44
There are two instruments in RU44. One is the Triten, which looks like a very large saxophone that requires all six hands. The other, the Cubestring, is a string instrument, with string on each face of a cube. Each hand is used for a different face.
Interesting Facts on RU45
Some prisoners were found to have had children. They could not be taken out, they had already been raised through their adolescense by the time it was learned.
Interesting Facts on RU46
RU46, in case you didn't figure out, is a lotuseater's dream of stupid humans, floating in empty space, feeling very joyous.
Interesting Facts on RU47
Intelligent versions of the unintelligent species typically try to avoid the usual unintelligent versions.
Interesting Facts on RU48
You can be executed if the majority of your stories are bad enough. Typically this level is somewhere around the "gay romance fanfic" level.
Interesting Facts on RU49
RU49 does not exist anymore. What it was like when it did was anyone's guess, but one survivor exists who traverses the multiverse in a stolen multiversal travel machine. Even he does not remember how he found it. In his sleep he yells " YOU MANIACS! YOU BLEW IT UP! OH, D**N YOU! D**N YOU ALL TO HELL!"
Interesting Facts on RU50
RU50 humans evolved from flying monkeys.

Forgotten Interesting Facts on RU33
There are five unions on RU33. These are:The Real Men's Union, The Thespian's Union, The Brain's Union, The Loonie's Union, and the Munchkin's Union.
Forgotten Interesting Facts on RU42
For no particular reason, futureslang for "That drink tasted good" is "That was a good munchkin."

Quote
Reject Universe #51
RU51 is an empty, abandoned world. The people are not dead. They have ascended to a higher plane. Exactly where this higher plane leads or what it is, no-one knows, not even Insert. The thought that his creations could supersede him terrified him and made him highly paranoid for several weeks. It is known that they can return to it, as many previously unexplained phenomenon such as the Loch Ness Monster, UFO crashes, and their equivelents in other RUs have been traced to them. RU51 had such good technology that the cities never decayed into the ground-though most technology was taken with them, some technology was never taken, and thus the buildings are still maintained and in good condition, though devoid of any technology more advanced than mere wooden/metal furniture.
Wildlife
Gooat, creatures that are very small and suck energy vampirically from the maintenence robots, though never enough to deactivate them. They are terrifying because the robot's technology was based off of the same principals inherent in souls, thus meaning that if humans visited RU51, they could quickly attach to your head and trap your soul within their body forever, even in their death.

The contest rules have changed.

Quote
Okay, I'm officially changing the rules.
You may write an advertising blurb, but it shall be far less likely to win than if it does, in fact, have pictures.
